Chapter 23: Laura and Stacy

*We walk out together and get into your car*
Josh: So what's your moms names?
Olivia: Laura and Stacy
Josh: Okay okay. I don't know why but I'm nervous to meet them...I have to live up to this "best friend" title and I'm scared *laughs*. I think I did meet one of them at your audition but I don't really remember... I met a lot of people that day.
Olivia: Don't be scared. It's not like you're meeting them for the first time as like my boyfriend or something..
Josh: Yeah but like, I have to ya know.... like be your boyfriend in the show. Well at least for the 1st episode flashbacks *laughs*
Olivia: Well then you better be nervous Bowen- I mean Bassett.
Josh: Wow thanks Miss Salazar Roberts- I mean Olivia *I start the car and back out*

Olivia: *Laughs* I've been thinking lately about how we have to perform live for the show and press. I am so comfortable singing around you and since you seemed to always be around me you are now declared my good luck charm...so please pass off positive vibes.*gets onto meditation pose*
Josh: *I laugh* *I put my hand in the pose*
Olivia: BASSETT HANDS ON THE WHEEL!
Josh: This hand is *I take it off to show you that it was*
Olivia: JOSH!
Josh: *I put both hands back on the wheel *laughs*
Olivia: Whatever... Don't make me regret my decision. Maybe I'll just make Sofia my good luck charm instead...
Josh: *gasps* Well, I wouldn't blame you, but I'd love to be your good luck charm.
Olivia: Alright fine.
Josh: *I pull into your drive way*
Olivia: Are you SCARED?
Josh: Yes mamm... plus now i have to not only be your best friend but your good luck charm.
Olivia: Okay good. Now grab the cake... and don't drop it or I swear-
Josh: What do you swear?
Olivia: Now that would not be lady like for me to swear now would it *I laugh.*

*We get out of the car and walk in*

Olivia: Hey moms!
Laura: Hi sweetie! We missed you. Who's this?
Stacy: Joshua Bassett! Oh its so nice to see you again!
Laura: *looks at Stacy confused*
Stacy: *says to Laura* We met at the auditions... he was there reading with all the Nini's so I met him then.
Olivia: *laughs* Yeah!... he is my co-star, best friend, and carpool karaoke partner.
Josh: *I laugh and hold out my hand*. It's nice to see you again and meet you. I hope you don't mind me dropping by-
Laura: I mean it's Olivia's place... and any friend of hers is always welcome.
Josh: Well, I'm Joshua Bassett and like Olivia said I'm playing Ricky in the show.
Stacy: Yes she was going on and on about you after her audition...
Olivia: MOM!
Josh: *I laugh* Yeah we actually did that cover together at the audition... and I could just tell she was the one for Nini.
Stacy: Olivia told us all about that... you both are so talented.
Olivia: You are too kind Joshy. Well we did bring a cake if you guys want some!
Josh: Oh and Olivia tell them the good news...
Olivia: Oh yeah um Tim asked me to write and compose an original song for one of the episodes!
Laura: OH MY BABY GIRL. WHAT!
Stacy: OLIVIA! THATS INCREDIBLE!
Olivia: I know right! I'm so excited!
Josh: *I laugh.* And she deserves it. This morning we recorded a song together and Tim loved it and so he called her later today about writing a song for the show.
Laura: YOU MADE A SONG ALREADY?
Olivia: Well I had been playing around with some lyrics and Bassett over here got me a session to record it. We sounded pretty good together not to brag. *I laugh*
Josh: I actually have the recording if you guys wanna listen later.
Olivia: Anyway, shall we cut some cake?
Stacy: Yes please. Airport food is disgusting and I would love some cake!
Josh: *I laugh and take it out of the container*

*Olivia gets a knife and plates and distributes pieces to everyone*

Olivia: Oh yeah funny story... I actually hit my hand on the moving mixer piece. That hurt real bad.
Josh: Not a very funny story. *I laugh*
Olivia: It's a little funny. Especially after I won our flour fight.
Stacy: Flour fight?
Olivia: Yeah! Josh just like ambushed me with flour!
Josh: I did no such thing ma'am. *laughs*
Olivia: Okay fine; maybe i started it, but I sure as well finished it.
Josh: Sure... we'll so with that *laughs*
Laura and Stacy: *Laughs*
Stacy: You guys are too cute.
