The ringing of a phone woke me up. I opened my eyes to see Matt rolling over and grabbing his phone.
"Jim." He said gruffly. "Aha, yes."
He hung up the phone and looked at me. "Gotta go, the flight leaves soon."
I nodded and watched him pull his clothes on. God, his body, it was fabulous and he certainly knew how to use it.
He leant over and kissed me roughly. "I guess I'll see you in LA."
"I guess."
He turned and left and I layed in my bed for awhile. Becca was driving them to the airport then we were going to collect my things from work before continuing on to LA.
I had a shower, packed my stuff and waited for Becca to get back.
As we headed to my work she turned to me. "So?"
"What?" I asked innocently.
"Oh come on Kylie, tell me, how was it?"
"Why do you want to know?"
"I'm curious, I mean it's Matt, just look at him."
Oh yeah, I could spend the rest of my life looking at him.
Jesus, what was I thinking?
"Kylie." Becca snapped. "Was he good in bed?"
Was he good in bed, I couldn't begin to tell her just how good he was.
I just nodded and smiled. "He was."
"That's it, that's all your going to tell me?"
"Yep." I said.
"Well are you at least going to see him again?" She asked.
"I'm sure we'll run into eachother in LA, I mean I'm staying with you."
She nodded. "I guess you'll see him at the party on Friday night."
Party?
"What party?" I asked her.
"Your party, it's a Welcome Back to LA party that Jim and I are organising." She explained.
Of course, any excuse to have a party.
"Well I guess I'll see Matt there then."
"You two make such a cute couple." She sighed.
"What a shame we'll never be a couple."
She looked at me again. "Oh come on Kylie, he's perfect."
"Maybe, but not for me, it was sex, that's all it was." And the best sex of my fucking life I wanted to add.
"Bullshit, your lying to yourself." She said as we pulled up at my work.
I opened my door, got out and stood there.
"You ready?" Becca asked, grabbing my hand.
I nodded. This was it, the last bit of my life in San Francisco, once I'd handed in my notice and cleared my desk I was free.
That thought terrified me.
