(6 years ago, Aria was 5)

I whirl around to face Gideon, one of my brothers.

"Quit pulling my hair!" I shout, but he only grins.

"He might, but I won't!" Fabian, my other brother says, as he reaches for my hair.

"I hate you!"

"Aria!"

I freeze, turning just in time to see Molly's round face staring down at me.

"How dare you say something like that to your own brothers!"

"Yeah Aria, stop being so mean!"

Molly shoots the twins a glare that shuts them right up and drags me away from them.

"You all have to learn to be nicer to each other if you want to go to Hogwarts."

"Hogwarts?" I ask.

The twins and I circle up around Molly, waiting for her to tell the story again.

She sighs, before kneeling down in front of us as she begins,

"Long ago, four of the most amazing witches and wizards of the day built an incredible school, to teach all the young witches and wizards magic. It was so great, that to this very day, that school still stands and continues teaches young ones magic. That school is Hogwarts. And when you get a bit older, you can go there too."

"Wow." The twins and I say in amazement.

"And in a month," Fabian says, "you are going there too?"

"Yes." Molly says, "but you can only go if you can be good."

"Yeah ARIA, start being nicer to us!"

"Gideon?"

As Molly reprimands him I stand up and walk into the kitchen to find my parents.

They're standing there, huddled in conversation.

"... 3 attacks this week!" My father says.

"Oh my Merlin!" My mother squeaks.

"They're calling it the werewolf revolution."

"And it's because of that man,"

"Now, now Miranda, he's just a criminal, it's not like he's starting a war!"

"Mummy?" I ask.

"Not now sweetie," my mom says distantly.

She and my dad walk further away, their voices drop so I can't hear them.

With nothing to do here I walk back into the living room.
