After the rest of the hall was done eating, Dumbledore stands up again.

He says something about staying clear of the forest, no magic in the hallways, you know, the common sense stuff.

But I don't really listen. Despite the fact Sev actually has found an interest in talking to me, I'm still in a sort of limbo. Slytherin. I'm a Slytherin.

After Dumbledore dismisses us, the first year Slytherins follow a Prefect named Lucius Malfoy out of the Hall and down  towards a corridor leading away from a huge marble staircase.

I look for James, wondering if he's looking for me, but I can't see him, and I'm forced down with the other Slytherins.

I really wish I could talk to him. I mean, we've been best friends as long as I can remember, and he knows me. He would know exactly what to say to reassure me.

"This is incredible, don't you think?" Sev says.

"What?" I ask, being pulled out of my thoughts.

"This," He gestures to the corridor around us, and I finally notice it.

It's dark, damp, must be way beneath the school, somewhere in the dungeons.

I love it.

No, no I don't. Aria! Stop thinking like that!

"It's fine." I reply shortly.

Sev must realize I don't want to talk because he doesn't try to make me again.

Finally, we stop in front of a bare stretch of wall. Our prefect, the Malfoy boy, steps up to it and says,

"This is our common room entrance. You will need a password to get in."

He then turns to the wall and states,

"Pure Blood."

The wall melts away to reveal a narrow passage way leading down, further beneath the castle.

We shuffle into a single file and follow him down.

When I enter the common room, my breath is taken away, it's gorgeous.

The entire far wall is a huge, slightly tinted glass, revealing  contents the lake, with a few, tall bookcases in the middle. Lounging chairs and sofas lay around. The whole places has a sort of, greenish glow. And somehow, I like it.

"Girls on the left, boys to the right.." Lucius says, gesturing to two doorways on either side of the common room.

I glance at Severus, he shrugs before following the boys towards his dorm room.

I sigh, before following the other girls.

"Out of my way dork!" An older girl shoves me out of the way, and I trip.

"Woah, careful there." Another girl grabs my wrist and helps me back to my feet.

"Thanks." I whisper, looking up to see who the girl is.

She's a thin girl, with long blonde hair. She must be in at least 4th year.

"Anytime." She says, before following a couple of the other girls, who must be in her year.

Follow the group of girls down a spiral staircase, soon we reach the first landing, where a door labeled "First years" is.

I slowly walk up to the door and push it open.

Our dorm room is incredible.

Five, huge four poster beds line the sides, and, just like up in the common room, the far wall is glass showing the lake.

"Woah." I breath.

"Hey look!" I girl shrieks. "It's the Slytherin blood traitor!"

I turn to her, she's tall, thin, with huge blue eyes and very pale blonde hair.

Another girl steps forward. This one, has long, curly brown hair.

"Now she doesn't belong here!" She laughs.

"Now settle down girls." I third girl steps forward. She's short, and very, well large, though I would never say that to her face, with dark features and black hair, put in an extremely neat, tight bun, on the top of her head. Thick bangs come down, practically engolphving her eyebrows.

All three, are very pretty, but something about them, makes me nervous.

"This is not how civilized witches act. We must introduce ourselves." She says.

"Thalia Thrasher." The tall blonde girl.

"Cashmere Lestrange." The curly haired girl.

"And I'm, Sadie Bulstrode." Says the third girl.

"Now who are you?" The three of them begin to advance on me, and that's when I realize it.
What about them makes me so nervous. They're like cats. The was they walk, hold themselves, everything. It's like a trio of wild cats, advancing on their prey.
