I brush the last bits of Slug Root into the potion, and stir.

"Done. Now, anyone who touches this, will turn pink!"

I look up to where Peeves has been drawing on Professor Slughorns black board. The picture depicts an even rounder version of Slughorn himself.

Carefully, I take a vial of the potion from the caldron and toss out the evidence.

I cross to my professors desk and take out his pair of dragon hide gloves.

Peeves watches as I carefully pour the contents into the gloves, and store them away again.

That's when I hear them. I'm not sure who, but someone is coming down the hallway, and, unless we act quick, will find us.

I dive behind a desk, just as the door swings open.

"Anyone in the potions lab?" Lucius Malfoy calls.

"I'm checking!" I girl enters, and shrieks "Peeves! Out!"

"Shhhh!" Her brother whisper yells from down the hallway.

Leah comes farther into the classroom, and she must see me because she stops barely three steps in.

I'm done for.

"Nope no one here!"

What.

"Alright then, best be heading back to the common room then, come on Leah." Lucius says.

"You go ahead, I'm gonna stay back, you know, look around my new classroom."

I hear Lucius leave the hall, and Leah dashes back into the classroom. Carefully, she closes the door and turn to face the classroom.

"Aria, I know your here."

I step out.

"There you are, if we can hurry we can beat them back and they'll  never know what happened." She says, beckoning me towards the door.

"Why did you just save my neck?"

Leah stares at me.

"Cause you seem different."

"That's what Narcissa said, and she turned us over to the older kids."

I glare at her, but I just can't seem to figure her out.

"Yeah well, I mean it. And by the way I love your come back on those kids, hilarious!"

I smile, but it fades rather quickly.

"I don't think I can trust you."

She nods, crossing the room to me.

"I understand. You were probably raised to think all Slytherins are bad, I'll just have to prove to you you can trust me. What were you doing in here anyway?"
