Chapter 12: My Preparations

I tried not to bury my face in my pillow once I saw the time.

7:00 AM AGAIN.

I might not be able to help her out now, but I could later.

I just had to remember the dream I had, and luckily, I still did.

Now I just had to repeat it throughout the day in my head so I could be ready for later.

I laid my pillow back down on my bed and laid my head back down on it.

"Remember....remember....." I muttered.

"What is it you're trying to remember, Kori?" The familiar voice of Clarissa asked.

I looked over to see Clarissa leaning against my desk and drinking what I'm assuming was tea.

"Just a dream I had." I replied.

"Why? What's so important about a dream?"

"It's important because I think I finally know where your baby is."

Clarissa's face changed to an excited expression, for once leaving behind that calm smile she always seemed to wear on her face.

And what did she do next?

She ran out of the door.

I just sat up and bed and watched the door swing closed.

A few minutes later, about 20 minutes, she came back into my room and opened the door.

"I couldn't find my baby." Clarissa said.

"How long did you look for?" I asked.

"About 10 minutes."

"Oh."

Clarissa walked over to me and tried to grab my shoulders, but since she couldn't, she just held her hands to her side.

"Are you sure you can help me?"

"For once, I'm absolutely sure."

Clarissa smiled and left me alone for the rest of the morning.

It's now noon time. Akane noticed that I seemed excited about something.

"Kori, are you okay? You seem fidgety today." She said.

"I'm fine, Akane. And yes, I am fidgety." I said.

"Why?"

"I finally figured out how to solve my ghost problem." I said to her with a smile making its way onto my face.

"Oh, really?! Can I help?!" 

I chuckled and rubbed her head.

"No, but I guess you can be there when I help my ghost out." I said.

Which was pretty much a joke.

Akane smiled and took my hand off her head.

"Ha ha! I like that you're happy today, big brother! I'll be there later!" Akane said.

Thinking Akane was joking with me, I just smiled and told her to be careful.

I didn't actually think that she'd be there when I was gonna help out Clarissa later.

"Hey Akane, I'm gonna go out and buy some stuff."

"Like what?" Akane asked.

"Oh, just some things for later tonight. I'll see you later." I said.

"Okay! See ya! I'll lock it when you're out." Akane said as she waved at me.

I waved back and smiled.
