Chapter 3

After eating way too much meat in such a little time, Jungkook suggested a walk around. "This is very unlike you Jungkook, you wanting to go for a walk."

Taehyung walked beside his mate as close as he could get. Taehyung had not stopped smiling. "Well pup, a lot I guess you could say has changed. Maybe some for the better."

Taehyung needed to talk to Jungkook about that day five year ago. He could not seem to shake it from his mind and the guilt ate him up. "Kook, can we talk-"

A loud bark sounded from a nearby cabin, interrupting Taehyung. Jungkook's face turned to disgust. "Sorry petal, that would be the nursery for the puppies. I barely ever go in there because-"

Jungkook turned and saw no one standing beside him anymore. Taehyung was ahead of him, walking into the nursery. Jungkook sighed and followed his eager mate.

Taehyung was in absolute heaven. There were puppies everywhere, scattered throughout the room. Some were barking and some were playing with each other. Taehyung bent down to pet a small brown colored pup, "Oh you are such a cutie!"

Jungkook managed to find his mate amongst the many smells. This place was overwhelming for him. "Wolfie come look at the babies! Aw, they are so cute!"

Once Jungkook became noticeable to the little ones, they stopped playing immediately and stood straight up at attention. The omegas in charge of them were shocked to see the Alpha in such a place. "Sorry Alpha! What can we do for you?", one of the older omegas said nervously.

Taehyung stood up carrying a little puppy in his arms, "Kookie, he is so cute! I can't wait to have my own some day!" Taehyung had not noticed the atmosphere change in the room.

"Nothing omega. Can I not come in and see what is going on in my pack?" Jungkook's voice became annoyed and angered. The older omegas started to shake in fear of the alpha's tone. Taehyung was shocked, "Jungkook, why are you getting upset?" Jungkook's body had started to tense up. Why would low omegas question him? Then he started to feel comfort.

Taehyung had grabbed his arm and squeezed it, causing Jungkook to feel more relaxed. "I'm sorry for the tone of voice he used. It has been a stressful day." Taehyung sat down the baby pup and started to pull Jungkook out of the cabin.

The older omegas stood in complete shock. The alpha got angry and nobody was killed or punished.

"Jungkook, why did you yell at those omegas?" Taehyung was again walking beside his mate. He was confused on the way Jungkook treated his degree. "I don't know Tae. I really don't know. I guess I can't help it." Jungkook wanted the conversation to change immediately. "Well you never treat me like that and I am an omega?"

Taehyung was disappointed and confused with Jungkook. Jungkook sighed and grabbed Taehyung's hand. "Petal, I'm sorry I acted that way okay? I didn't mean to upset you. I don't know why I did it. I just got so angry and I felt disrespected." Taehyung intertwined their fingers, "It's okay wolfie, I understand." Taehyung saw that Jungkook didn't want to talk about it right now anyway.

The two continued their walk making up for all their lost time. "I still remember seeing you in the stands at every game." Jungkook smiled at Taehyung thinking back to their highschool days.

"Yeah..." Taehyung was suddenly much more interested in the ground as the conversation took a turn towards the past. He stopped walking completely as he recalled the memory of Jungkook being dragged away from him.

How could his seemingly normal Jungkook who played baseball have turned into one of the strongest and most feared alphas?

"Tae you okay?" Jungkook stood a few steps ahead of his mate. "I'm sorry Kook...I'm so sorry I didn't do anything. I just could not move! I tried to resist it, but I just couldn't...I just let them take you and...and..."
