"I like Honeymaren. I like girls. I like Honeymaren. Girls are hot." Elsa said to herself, in the woods so no one could hear her. Untangling the entanglement of emotions had been her first priority since her experience with Maren in the hot tub. And her conclusions were... well not what she was expecting. Romance had never been something Elsa explored in life, but it made sense now seeing as all her suitors had been males, and the only females she had been around were her sister and maids. She sat in a shady spot by the the river, watching the water nokk jump around with Burni. She didn't know what to do, she knew what she wanted. She wanted to be with Honeymaren and go on dates, and hold hands and stay in the same tent and do... other stuff. But she didn't know how to get her. She wasn't sure if Maren was was flirting with her or she just had a flirtatious personality and she didn't want to make an embarrassing mistake. She was about to start crying when Gale whisked around her ears and dropped an envelope in her lap. "Thanks!" Elsa calked after the wind spirit. Elsa nimbly opened the envelope to find a meticulously decorated card with the words "YOURE INVITED" on the front. She opened it and read the card.
Elsa, my dearest sister. Kristoff and I have finally picked a date for the wedding, and it's in 4 days. Wanted you to be the first to get letter, please bring a date. Xoxoxo- Anna
4 days, well it sure sounds like Anna, always rushing into things without fully preparing. Elsa stares at the letter for a while longer before deciding to head back to her tent to try and sleep through this desperate time.

Honeymaren his behind a tree to scope out the camp, she didn't want anyone knowing where she was. It didn't matter, she was chilling in a hot spring with her friend. That's it, that's all that happened. It doesn't matter that the hot spring is the most popular place for dates here. It was just a hangout. In all honesty Honeymaren didn't know what to do. She liked Elsa, like liked Elsa, but there had never been a relationship like that before in the Northuldra. Two girls in a relationship.. together. She just didn't know how her people would react. She started to make her way across camp, wrapped in her fur coat trying to be silent.
"You're up late," a voice said from behind her. Startled, she turned around only to see Ryder munching on a fish skewer.
"I was bathing."
"In the hot spring?"
"Yeah... uh, it's cold out. Bye." Surprisingly Ryder let her leave, with nothing but a smile on her face.

The next morning Elsa awoke to chattering in the camp. With a wave of her hand she changed her clothes and stepped out of the tent. Yelana was reading from a paper addressed to the group.
"... I have invited you all to my wedding in four days time, hosted in Arendelle. Rooms will be available in the castle and food will be provided. Thank you to everyone for everything we hope to see you there. Queen Anna of Arendelle." Yelana finished. The crowd began to cheer but instead of joining in, Elsa locker eyes with Honeymaren, who had her hair down and looked stunning. Honeymaren smiled and waved at her before turning to talk to Ryder. Guess I better start preparing, the wedding is in four days.

                         2 Days Later

It was the day before the wedding and the Northuldra were pretty much ready for the journey. It was do-able in two days, using the reindeer of course. Honeymaren went through her pack making sure she had everything she would need for the journey tomorrow. Canteen, dream catcher, rations... her thoughts were interrupted by a voice at the front of the tent.
"Knock knock," Elsa said shyly.
"Hey," Honeymaren replied. This was their first real interaction since the hot spring, were things were a little more intimate than anticipated.
"Um, well I was wondering.. well uh," Elsa stammered.
"Elsa don't be shy. What is it?"
"Well I know that I can make the journey in less than a day on the water spirit, but I was hoping that I could take the long way. I'm just not ready to tackle Anna's... bridzilla mode yet." Elsa gulped and stared at the floor.
"Elsa... you don't have to ask, you're free now remember. No longer bound by responsibilities. "
"You're right, uh sorry I asked."
"Don't be, hey you want to travel together tomorrow? I mean if the water nokk can't go on land I am not sure how that works."
"It can, but I will ride with you. It'll be more fun." Both girls blushed a little before Elsa left the tent. Honeymaren tried to return her focus to counting her items but she was distracted. How could she not be?

Elsa returned to her tent and didn't breath until she was sure she was alone. She had been lonely the past few days, her and Honeymaren hadn't talked in a while, she guessed the whole hot spring thing had been awkward for the brunette as it had been for her. She was looking forward to the journey tomorrow, she didn't really want to stay behind because of Anna, it was because she wanted to arrive to Arendelle with Maren. It would be the Northuldra's first time at the kingdom and she couldn't wait to see the look in Maren's eyes when she saw the castle. Suddenly Elsa felt the urge to blast some ice, not out of rage or sadness, but out of excitement. Elsa got up out of the tent and looked around camp, no one would notice if she left. She raced through the woods towards the river. She whistled for her steed and smiled when she saw it waiting for her on the water. She jumped on her horse and directed it run straight. Toward the sea where no one could watch her. She felt energy flow through her fingers and started blasting ice to fit the image in her head. The nokk whinnied in protest at some sharp turns but ran nonetheless. Elsa maximized her powers potential and took Honeymaren's advice of being free.

Sorry I know not much happened in this chapter but there's lots of good in the next, it should be coming tomorrow but sometimes shit happens so I don't want to promise anything. Enjoy!
