The sound of the celebration horn some Elsa and Honeymaren from a well needed rest. Elsa lifted her head from Honeymaren's chest and rubbed her eyes.
"Time for the party," she said while yawning.
"Five more minutes," Honeymaren groaned as she turned over.
"Normally yes, but this is a party they are throwing for us so we better go." Honeymaren caves and began to stretch, Elsa could see indents in her body from the blankets. Elsa got off the bed and undid her braid, she brushed it out a bit and the small waves were actually quite complimenting to her face shape. Honeymaren went to the closet and took out the red dress she had wore during their last party. Elsa snapped her fingers and changed into a white crop with a half skirt bottom. Honeymaren looked at Elsa and smiled.
"Who are you trying to entice with that look tonight?" She asked as she moved closer to Elsa letting the blonde grab her and pull her into a kiss.
"Oh just this girl I met on the voyage yesterday."
"Yeah? What was her name?"
"Her name was Honeymaren."
"Oh let me-". Elsa planted her lips on Honeymaren and dipped the brunette. "Why this special treatment?" Honeymaren asked.
"Well at first it was in hopes to buy us time, but now it's to soften the blow."
"What blow?"
"You remember when you surprised me in the shower at Corona.?"
"Elsa where is this going?"
"Well anyway when we were... you know," Elsa made the gesture, "I may have left some evidence that is now visible in that dress."
"What? Elsa where?" Elsa pointed to Honeymaren's leg where the marks from Elsa's nails were still quite visible.
"On you're back too," Elsa added.
"Elsa!" Honeymaren scoffed, giving Elsa slight swat.
"Hey! That whole thing was your idea."
"Why do you have to leave and imprint everytime?"
"Hey people will just know that I love you."
"And that we have very rough shower sex."
"They won't be able to guess the shower part." Honeymaren looked at Elsa, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms."let's jus enjoy ourselves okay?" Elsa said.
"Fine, but next time I'm giving you a hickey."
"You can give me as many hickey's as you want." Contempt with the Consensus Honeymaren got the courage to leave the room and Elsa followed her down the hallway steps.
The lights decorating the plaza were ablaze and the darkness of night vanished with the presence of the lights. Music played and Honeymaren watched couples unite on the dance floor to a cheerful jig. There were partner swaps and a large circle of stepping and clapping attempting to get people to show off their moves. Honeymaren smiled at Elsa when she felt the taller girl slip her arm under Honeymaren's and lock their elbows.
"What do you want to see first?" Elsa asked. Honeymaren thought about it for a moment, but when her stomach answered with a rumble she made up her mind.
"Let's see the buffet. Don't get me wrong the Corona food was excellent but I'm craving something a little more Arendelle. Maybe some chicken wings." Elsa smiled and nodded in approval.
"Chicken wings, I could get behind that." They laughed and talked as they made their way to the buffet, when there they filled their plates and took a seat at a vintage picnic table. Citizens joined in their conversations and came and went as they pleased but Elsa was quite entranced by Honeymaren the whole night. She couldn't help it, that dress drove her crazy. Suddenly Honeymaren's eyes were no longer on Elsa, so Elsa turned around to see what she was looking at. Standing next to Kristoff was Kassandra, she wore a toga, but it was a two piece. It was black and white and embroidered with cultural patterns. Elsa took more of the single braid she wore past her shoulder, and the layered skirt bottom that had cuts above the knee.
"She cleans your nice," Elsa said, smirking. Honeymaren gulped and nodded,
"She does."
"Let's go."
"What?" Honeymaren asked.
"We invited her we should probably go say hi."
"Oh yeah." Honeymaren stood up, quite awkwardly and made her way to the mercenary, throwing out her plate on the way. "Kassandra!" Honeymaren greeted, "you came!"
"I did. You know parties aren't really my scene, but this... this is a nice party. No one has even died yet." Honeymaren and Elsa exchanges glances, part of Elsa thought Kassandra would say "just kidding," but she didn't. Elsa could feel the energy she had felt before, it was the same pulse she felt around Rapunzel in Corona. The same pulse that filled her with power.
"You ever been skating?" Honeymaren asked.
"Like on ice? Never." The Roman replied.
"Well there's a first time for everything, let me show you." Elsa swayed her arms in the air, embellishing the act slightly to make it seem more enchanted. I've swirled in the air before landing on the stone surrounding the fountain. People applauded and kids put on their skates and adults helped them.
"Come on," Honeymaren said, pulling Kassandra to the ice. Elsa watched them go, but Honeymaren stopped to look at her. "Elsa don't just stand there, come on!" Elsa smiled and ran to catch up to them. Honeymaren held onto Kassandra's arms and pulled her along the ice, Elsa spotted and gave her pointers on how to move. Elsa smile when she saw her sister and Kristoff skating together, they were pulled in close and shared a soft kiss. A child next to them wiped out and Anna picked her up and undoubtedly gave her a motivational speech to get her back on the ice.
"So you guys skate? Like all year round? How often do you do this?"
"Not as often as you'd think. Since I moved to the enchanted forest we skate much less, but it reminds of good times so when I come home I like to make it a thing." Kassandra nodded and Elsa reminded her to keep her feet straight.
"Elsa taught me to skate you know," Honeymaren said, "once upon a time I was in the same position you are in now."
"It's not so bad. The views good." Kassandra said, she clearly hadn't thought it through as her face went quite red after. Elsa raised an eyebrow and Honeymaren looked at her sheepishly.
"I said the same thing," Honeymaren replied finally breaking the silence. For a second Elsa could've sworn she saw something, a spark emitting from Kassandra's fingertips. Honeymaren recoiled and let go of the girl. "Ow!" She said, "got shocked there," she explained before re taking Kassandra's grip.
"Sorry," Kassandra said shyly.
"It's not your fault, it was just a spark."
"Yeah I guess your write." With that small conversation Elsa felt like she could confirm her suspicions, Kassandra was hiding something. She wasn't a regular mercenary here for work. So what is she here for?
