Elsa blinked the sleep out of her eyes as sunlight poured into her sight. She felt different, stronger different. She made the effort to sit up and and block the sun with her arm.
"Hello?" She called. Unaware anyone was in the room, Honeymaren sat up- startled.
"Wha- Elsa!" Honeymaren got up and ran toward Elsa. "Your finally awake."
"And hungry. Can we talk while we find food."
"Oh yeah, for sure. Your clothes are over there, or if you want to just snap into something I don't know." Elsa smiled and grabbed Honeymaren's hands and faces her.
"Good morning," Elsa said to her, softly. Honeymaren blushed and smiled, "Good morning," she replied. Elsa crawled over the bed towards the chair where her clothes were, Honeymaren was right, she could just "snap" something on, but Maren had gone through the effort of keeping these for her. She stripped out of the beige nightgown, well aware Honeymaren was watching. She faces away from Honeymaren as she pulled on her pantsuit. "Can you do me up?" Elsa asked, referring to the ties on the back.
"Yeah!" Honeymaren ran toward her and tied up the back. "Good to go?" The brunette asked.
"Absolutely."
Anna munched on some toast spread only with butter. She wasn't hungry but Kristoff and Rapunzel had insisted she eat something. She set down the bread and stared at it. This is what had become of her. She felt destroyed, like every ounce of the person she was before this had been left behind on that boat.
"Your majesty," a slightly familiar voice addressed her. She looked up to see the mercenary. What's her name again? The old Anna would've remembered.
"Oh hi um..."
"Kassandra."
"Right. I'm sorry, I should thank you for everything you've done for my family."
"Your majesty-"
"You don't have to call me that-"
"Okay, Anna, I owe you an apology. I should never have interfered with yours and Kristoff's affairs. You told me to go away but..."
"But you wanted to impress Honeymaren. You like her."
"What? No-"
"It's obvious, you had your eyes on her this whole time. News flash- assassin- she's dating my sister."
"Your highness! I am not an assassin-"
"Oh right, you're a 'mercenary' same difference."
"No, I am not your regular mercenary! I do not kill without honour, I bring justice to those who deserve it. And I make money doing it because I have too. But that's not what I came here for, I came to tell you that I am sailing back to Arendelle today, and I wanted to ask if you had anything you wanted me to send back as a message." Anna huffed, she was slightly embarrassed and disgusted by her behaviour, but she couldn't let this girl know that. She looked at her toast and suddenly she wanted to scream. But when she opened her mouth to do so nothing came out. She stood there, in silence, heaving with anger, tears streaming down her face.
"Anna?" She was about to snap at Kassandra, only she realized that voice wasn't the mercenary. She turned around slowly and the tears came faster when she saw Elsa standing there, her arm linked with Honeymaren.
"Elsa..." she said just loud enough for Elsa to hear before she ran to hug her sister.
Honeymaren unhooked herself from Elsa and watched as the two sisters embraced each other. She couldn't stop herself from smiling, Anna looked genuinely happy, a rare occurrence since the start of this situation. Then she noticed Kassandra who stood up abruptly and started to leave.
"Hey!" Honeymaren called out. Kassandra didn't reply, she kept on walking. "Kassandra! Where are you going?" She asked, now caught up to the girl.
"I'm going back to Arendelle today, from there I will be making my way back to Greece, and eventually Rome. I have some unfinished business." Honeymaren struggles to keep up with her, so she pulled Kassandra's arm and got her stop.
"Wait Kassandra. Do you really think I'd let you leave without saying goodbye?"
" I guess I did. The Queen didn't seem to care."
"Anna she's... going through a lot. If you wait an hour or so I can guarantee she'll apologize." Kassandra nodded but didn't seem convinced. "Is she the reason you're in such a hurry to get out of her?" Honeymaren asked.
"Part of it." Honeymaren grinned and stood one her toes to place her hand on the side of Kassandras face.
"Can you wait for me in Arendelle? I'll be just a few days behind you."
"I don't think that's for the best."
"It is. Believe me. Kassandra. I know I'm an outsider, I live in tents in the woods for crying out loud. But I know what mercenary work entails, that didn't scare me away. Just please, wait for me in Arendelle.l, where I can properly thank you for everything you've don't for me, please." Honeymaren pulled Kassandra chin down so they were eye level. She placed a kiss on the taller girls forehead and watched as the mercenary disappeared down the halls of Corona castle.
"Should I be worried?" A voice said from behind her. Honeymaren turned to see Elsa standing with one arm on her hip and leaning on her left foot.
"Not at all, love," Honeymaren smiled as she went up to Elsa and placed a hand on her back. She dipped Elsa and planted a kiss on her lips. Elsa was blushing and patted herself when Honeymaren flipped her back on both feet.
"Now come on, there's a lot we need to catch you up on."
