Threw the hammer down.
Nailed to the wire.
Known by the sin of our fathers. His cold hand caressed my cheek as his lips met mine in a heated kiss. He smelled like vanilla and some kind of sweet cologne, a mixture of scents that made my knees weak. I missed his fingernails digging into my waist as his tongue wrestled with mine. I missed his body against my own, no layers between us. I missed grabbing fistfuls of his hair when he bit at my neck. I missed hearing my name falling from his lips like a mantra.
Let it all come out
And burn like a fire."Damiar," I breathed out as he connected us together, and unlike the first time, there was no pain. He moaned softly, his head dipping down as he sank his teeth into my flesh. A sharp gasp escaped my lips as his venom flooded my system, and my nails raked down his back. His wings shot out, sending the lamp on the bedside table against the wall, shattering it. Neither of us cared. My hands clenched around the base of his wings, pulling him as close to me as I physically could.
Shout a little bit louder.
My entire body shook as he dominated me, fisting his hand in my hair and tugging harshly. I couldn't stop him, even if I wanted to. My nails dug into his wings hard enough to draw blood, and his breath hitched as he fought back a gutteral groan. "Go ahead," he panted. "Say it." "Damiar..." "Louder." "Damiar!" "Bitch, scream it louder!" He buried his teeth into my thigh and I did scream. "Damiar!"
Cause the night still has a thousand eyes.
And when the truth is brought to light
You and I
Will be
Free.He left soft kisses along my body, the marks left by his teeth healing themselves when his fingers danced over them. My chest still heaved from only moments ago, and his predatory eyes stared down at me as he rested part of his weight on my waist. My blood dripped from his lips, and I impulsively moved my head up to lick it away. He cought my tongue between his teeth with a soft growl, and I shuddered.
Break through every door
And the stakes get higher
Hard evidence is power. He pulled away, making sure my tongue was duly swollen. I chewed on my lower lip as he kissed under my jaw. I could feel my own power buzzing as it mingled with his. "You killed her," he whispered into my ear. "I can feel her power in you." "She controlled me," I sighed. "She kept me from you. She tried to make me into something I'm not." He pulled away somewhat so he could look into my eyes, his own golden, reflecting his raw power. "A monster?" His voice held a mocking tone, and I growled at him softly. "Yes."
Turn the noose of war.
Trade proof for the liar.
We'll shout a little bit louder."What about Lucifer?" I brushed out my hair, my fingers curling around his horns as he wrapped me in a hug from behind. I loved feeling his wings wrap around me, even if they did take up most of the motel bathroom. "He isn't the problem," I replied. "He never was." His phone chimed, and he pulled away to answer it. He put it on speaker, and I was confused upon hearing a clear Australian accent on the other end of the line. "Is Venus there with you, D?" He asked, a note of fear in his tone. "I am," I replied, watching Damiar carefully. "I think you may have started a war."
Because secrets tell a million lies.
But the truth is always brought to light.
So you and I
Will be
Free.I frowned, my brows furrowed in confusion as my gaze settled on the phone. "I'm sorry? Who are you?" The male heaved a frustrated sigh. "Death." I blinked once in shock. "Death..? What do you -" "More specifically, I'm Azrael. But you can call me Caleb like D does." I pinched the bridge of my nose, feeling a massive migraine headed my way. "Azrael? Like... the Angel of Death? The dude that killed thousands of people in the Bible?" Caleb awkwardly cleared his throat, and Damiar grabbed the phone from the counter. "Story time later, Caleb," he snapped. "What the hell do you mean that Venus started a war?"
Secrets tell a million lies
To build the walls they hide behind.
But the truth is always brought to light,
Brought to light.Caleb huffed, and immediately began talking. "She killed Lilith. Lilith was over seven hundred thousand years old. She upset the major balance of this universe by cutting off the figurehead of female sin." "Dumb it down, Azrael," Damiar warned, heavy impatience lacing his words. "In Layman's terms - God caught wind of it and he's coming back. This time, Venus's power will be on his radar." Everyone went silent, and I watched as a dangerous glint flashed in my mate's eyes. "We need to meet up," Caleb continued. "All of us."
I picked at my nails. "Why..?" I asked quietly. "Agreed," Damiar said, entirely ignoring me. "We'll meet you in California in a day or two." "Keep me posted?" "Bet." He ended the call, and he finally turned to acknowledge my presence. "What exactly are you planning?" I inquired. "Who are we meeting up with?" "My friends. Caleb, Aviva, Kai, Noen, and Cap. We might have a major war on our hands." "So I heard, but that didn't answer my question."
He sighed in annoyance as he shoved his phone into his jacket pocket and raked a hand through his hair. "We're gonna kill God," he replied. My blood ran cold. "And I'm gonna replace him."
