They ended up settling in the Forrest outside of Anviltide when they got there since it was sunset. The next morning they arose to a pretty pink sunrise and they were hoping that this is where they can find their answers.
"Well, we should head into town soon." Stated Jund.
"Me, Cheyenne and Russ will stay here while you look for that book." Said Cry
"Don't get into any trouble you two," Cheyenne warned "Remember the last few times we had you two do things for us."
"Yeah... I remember." Said Snake.
"Just do the task we have given you, okay?"
"Fine." Said Jund.
"And no wandering off." Added Cry.
"Well seeya guys later, hopefully with a new book." Said Jund before the two headed towards town.
"Please don't screw this up." Russ whispered to himself while Jund and Snake were walking away.

2 guards stood watch at the front entrance to Anviltide. One was a man of large stature. He had a thick blonde beard, long hair, and harsh blue eyes.
The other guard was a woman. She had brown hair tied into a ponytail and light brown eyes. "What is it you two wish to head into the town for?" Asked the male guard.
"We are here to gather supplies." Jund lied. "Me and my pal Dave here-"Jund indicated Snake "wish to acquire some food, water, mead and wheat for travels."
"Wheat?"
Snake spoke up. "I like bread..."
"Yeah. He likes bread. We can't have a good meal without bread."
The woman guard eyed the elf and the half-elf up and down.
"Hmm... We don't see many elves around these parts. You may enter. But watch yourselves." Cautioned the woman.
"Thank you." Said Jund appreciatively

The guards opened the front gates for Snake and Scott. They started walking along the stone path of the city. The buildings were made of marble and wood and all the inns, stores, and houses looked quite similar. Anviltide was quite impressive.
"Seriously? I like bread? You could have said something better than that." Said Jund
"Sorry. I wasn't thinking."
"I have to admit, it was funny."
After walking around town for a bit Snake started to question what Jund was doing
"Um... Where are we going?" Asked Snake
"We're going to the library!"
"We've been walking for a while. Are you sure we're going the right way?"
"... Not really..."
"We should ask for directions."
"Fine." Jund sighed.
They asked a woman villager who was working on a garden in front of her house where the library was.
"Actually there are two libraries in town. One to the north and one to the east." The woman directed
"Thanks." Said Jund
"My pleasure." Said the lady kindly
They walked away from the woman a bit to talk.
"Should we go to the east or north library first?" Asked Jund
"Hmm..." Snake thought "East."
"Then we will head east."
"Thank you, compass." Snake thanked him sarcastically.
"Whatever."

The east library was a new looking library. The stone it was made from was shiny and the sign looked freshly carved. It's name was "The Iron Bookmark". They entered the library and smelled the familiar smell of old books, which Snake enjoyed. There was a middle-aged dwarf woman sitting behind the front counter. She had orange hair that was tied into one thick braid and blue eyes.
"What would you be interested in today, young men?"
They both walked up to the counter and Jund spoke first
"I would like a book on... The Night Stone."
The darf lady stared at the spiky haired elf for a moment.
"Hmm... No. Nothing like that here. We're quite new and still receiving books to sell."
Jund nodded. "Well Snake. We should go look around a bit in here before we head to the north library."
"Alright." Snake agreed.
They started to search the alphabetically assorted shelves for the Night Stone book they were looking for until a few people entered the library. Jund and Snake slowly turned around to see who it was.

It was the dark prince himself, Zak, followed by 2 heavily armored body guards. The two elves were shocked to see him. They had never seen him, only heard about what he looked like, but they knew it was him. He had long black hair. His face was very angular like and elf's, but he was indeed human. Or was he? He was very pale and had unnatural glowing yellow eyes. His face was smooth, the only blemish being a scar than ran from his left eyebrow to the bottom of his left check. He had a very unnerving presence.

"Ah yes. I would like to find a particular book." Zak spoke. His voice was smooth like a still lake, but still sharp like thorns.
The Dwarf lady looked at him nervously and said nothing.
"I need a book about the Night Stone. It has a leather cover and about 300 pages in it. Sound familiar?"
The lady shook her head "No, I-I'm sorry. I don't think we have a book like that in stock."
"Did you check?" Zak started speaking with a more aggressive tone.
"No, but I would know if I had a special book like that."
Zak gave up trying to ask for it and decided to look for it himself. Zak walked over to Snake and Jund who were looking at books, but only to avoid eye contact with the dark prince.
"You two. Have you seen any book like the one I mentioned?"
"... No, I'm sorry."
"Well, I guess my search will need to continue somewhere else."
Zak and his guards followed behind him as he left the library.

"Damn...That was him. Wasn't it?" The librarian asked Snake and Jund.
"Yeah." Responded Snake.
"We should go to the north library now. Before he gets there." Jund said.
Snake nodded in agreement. They both said goodbye to the librarian and headed to the north of town. The north of town looked more old and worn than the rest of town, but it still looked pretty good despite it's flaws. They both spotted the library after frantically looking for a bit. It's name was "The Old Fire Dragon". Without hesitation Jund pushed the door open to go inside.

There were lots of bookshelves. Probably about 30 rows. It was large and probably housed almost every book in existence.
"Is there something you two are looking for?" Asked an old voice that seemed to be coming towards them.
Out from behind a row of books came an old man. He had a grey and white goatee and short white hair. His eyes were a deep blue and he had a small smile on his face.
"Yes, um... Do you by chance have a book on the Night Stone?" Jund asked, but then he suddenly remembered the description Zak had given the book. "That has a leather cover and about
300 pages in it." He added
The old librarian's smile faded.
