After a nights rest the adventurers left Anviltide. Cry, Russ, and Cheyenne felt odd that they were welcome there considering what had happened with the Dark Prince, but they couldn't stay. The 6 adventurers had to go to Timide. The road was long because they had to backtrack a lot. It took about 4 and a half days to get there. They were attacked by a few bandits on the way there, but the 6 luckily killed them before they could take anything.

They were going to stay the night in Timide before exploring the forests the next day. The Night Stone was supposed to be hidden in the forrest.
"Have you two been here before?" Ziegs asked the elves.
"Once a long time ago. I hardly remember anything from my trip here." Jund said.
"Nope." Snake answered.
The town was full of elves. Not one human, Orc, or dwarf was there. Although, there were all 3 kinds of elves there, dark elves, woodland elves, and imperial elves.
A dark elf man walked by the group carrying a supply crate of sort to a store nearby.
"I've never seen a dark elf before." Cry admitted.
"Aren't you two woodland elves?" Russ asked Snake and Jund.
"Yeah." Snake answered.
"How can you tell the difference?" Cry asked.
"Woodland elves have longer ears, dark elves have dark grey skin, and Imperial elves are very tall." Jund answered
"Oh."
"Let's just get to the inn already." Cheyenne said.
They went into the inn and payed the innkeeper to stay the night. The next morning they woke up and headed into the woods.

Snake ended up being the leader since he had the most experience navigating through forests. They followed Snake through the winding woods and eventually made it into a large clearing with very few trees.
"Have we made it out of the woods?" Cheyenne asked.
"No..." Snake said.
"Why did we let Snake lead in the first place?" Jund asked "He isn't doing as well as Cheyenne or Russ can do and-"
"Shush!" Snake interrupted Scott "We haven't left the forrest... The Forrest left us."
"What the hell do you mean?" Jund asked.
"Treants. You may know them as tree people or guardians of the forrest." Snake informed Jund.

There was a large rumbling in the ground as 4 giant walking trees with faces walked up to them.
"Um...." Cry wanted to say something but only and 'um' came out.
"Laki re di yeuin ulsik qwitid? (What are you doing in our forrest?)" One of the trees spoke in elvish.
"Wir dyun eripol ai xermlo, treants (We don't wish any harm, treants.)" Snake spoke back in elvish to the large tree person.
"Di hyr e orik hil di. Oriki den korken... (You have an Orc with you. Orcs mean trouble....)"
"Re wequd di, tyr dene yol korken (I assure you, he means no trouble.)" Snake reassured the treant.
Another treant spoke up, this one spoke in common
"Trekkar, he could be lying."
The treant, whose name was Trekkar, looked more angry.
"Diw vdir... Darok iyor! (You're right.... Kill them!)" Trekkar ordered the other treants to fight.
"What did he just say?" Russ asked as the treants started stomping closer.
"They're going to kill us." Snake replied.

The trees started swinging their branches at the adventurers. Ziegs slashed back with her rapier, but to no avail since it only left slash marks. Cry started hitting Trekkar with axe and he made larger cuts through the tree person. They were all fighting, at least one person was attacking each one.
"Scott, use fire! They're weak to it!" Snake yelled at the mage.
"Got it." Jund replied. He charged up a large spell which was supposed to kill all 4 treants at once. To make a spell that large Jund had to say "Pyyar." To amplify it.
The spell hit every treant, besides Trekkar because of a slight miscalculation. Even though Scott had said a word to amplify the spell, the energy it costed him made him faint.
"Jund fainted!" Russ yelled so everyone knew.
"That idiot." Cheyenne said angrily.
"Wait!" Trekkar said before Cry could start hacking at him.
"What is it?" Cry asked. He was surprised that he could speak in common.
"Don't kill me... I'll do anything you want if you don't kill me." Trekkar promised.

"Can you tell us where the Night Stone is?" Russ asked the large tree.
"Night Stone? I've seen every inch of this forrest and I haven't seen a gem or stone of any kind."
"Ugh," Cry groaned "We've searched so many places and we still haven't found it!"
"Relax we still have one more place to go to." Cheyenne tried to calm Cry down.
"Oh yeah, where was it again?" Ziegs asked.
"I don't know. Jund knows, but he's passed out." Cheyenne said.
Russ started to try shaking Jund awake.
"Wake up, Jund!"
"I don't think it's working." Snake told Russ.
"I can try." Trekkar offered.
"Go ahead." Russ said while backing away from Jund.
Trekkar grabbed Jund with one of his branches and shook him around, maybe too hard. Then Jund's eyes shot open.
"Hey what the hell!?" Jund yelled.
Trekkar gently dropped the mage down.
"I did it." Trekkar said.
"Thank you." Snake replied.
"I don't get it, why aren't we fighting him?" Jund asked.
"He surrendered." Ziegs answered.
"Oh, okay."
"Well. Thanks for sparing my life, adventurers." Trekkar thanked.
"No problem." Cry said cooly.
"Let's get going." Jund told everyone.
"To where?" Cheyenne asked.
"Telikos cave." Jund replied.
"Bye Trekkar." Snake said to the Treant.
"Farewell." He said back.
