A mere two weeks later, in late July, Hermione appeared on the doorstep of Malfoy Manor and knocked. Draco opened the door and grinned, pulling her into his arms. "Hi," he said with a grin.
"Hi" she responded, smiling.
"Well come in. Mother can't wait to meet you," he said, closing the door behind her.
"You already told her? And she's ok with it?" Hermione asked, looking shocked.
Draco opened his mouth to respond. "Of course I'm ok with it. I've never seen Draco as happy as he is now." Narcissa Malfoy said as she walked down the stairs elegantly.
Hermione turned and smiled. "It's a pleasure to meet you Mrs. Malfoy. Your home is lovely,"
"Thank you dear. And call me Narcissa." she said with a curt nod. The three sat down on the couches in the living room, talking about random things.
Draco eventually got up. "I'm getting some tea. Would you like any Mother? Hermione?" he asked. Hermione and Narcissa both nodded. Draco smiled and walked out of the room.
"So you are good friends with Harry Potter?" Narcissa asked.
"Yes I am." Hermione responded, scared of what was coming next.
"And yet my son is enamored with you,"
"Well I'm enamored with him as well. He's rather amazing. You raised a perfect gentleman" she said smiling. And then, to her surprise, she saw Narcissa Malfoy smile.
"Look dear I'm not saying it will be easy, especially with everything happening. But I know my son and I know he won't let anything happen to you."
"I know Narcissa. But I'm willing to go through the hardships if it means being with your son."
"Well I'm glad he has you. He'll need you this year. There are things in store for him that I cannot begin to explain, nor am I at liberty to say. Just know that he loves you,"
"And I him." Hermione said, thinking about the eerie thing she had just said.
"I have one more question. It's a rather heavy one." Hermione nodded, waiting for it. "Do you see a future with my son? Do you see yourself ending up with him down the line?"
Hermione stood stunned for a moment. "I could see myself marrying your son, in all honesty. I can't imagine loving anyone else,"
Draco grinned as he heard her speak. He stepped into the room and handed his mother and girlfriend the tea, sitting down next to Hermione. She smiled and leaned into him slightly. Narcissa looked at the pair and smiled, teeth and all.
"Well Hermione I'm glad you came to visit. I'll leave you two alone." She said as she stood up, exiting the room. Draco kissed Hermione lightly.
"See it wasn't that bad," he said
"Yeah she's great. I'm so glad you two got along. Anything I missed when I was gone?"
"Funny. You probably heard everything you eavesdropper." She said pushing him gently. He smiled and reached into his pocket, pulling out a beautiful locket.
"I got this for you. If you press it 3 times, it tells me you need me and I can always find you." he explained. She smiled and moved her hair, letting him fasten the locket around her neck. She looked down at it with a smile. "Hermione Granger don't you worry. I'm going to marry you one day," he whispered, wrapping his arm around her. She looked up at him and kissed him deeply. "Was that a yes?" he asked with a crooked smile.
"Yes." she said, playing with his hair. He pulled her up and dragged her into the garden, where he spun her around laughing and joking.
That was the last time she saw him until running across him and his mother in Diagon Alley. She showed up at his manor the next day, banging on the door. Draco opened it looking confused.
