"These are the papers you have to fill out within the day. Each team will get points for the answers and the work they've done. First you will have to participate in a ralley trough the hospital. You will get work from your supervisor and it depends how fast and good you work to level up."
Our teacher says.
Noah grins at me.
I force myself to mirror his smile but in the corner of my eye I could see Taeyhung staring at us.
I turn around.
But he catches me staring so I look away imidiatly. Embarrassed.

"One question."
Madison calls out.

"What will happen after we level up?! And who decides if we level up or not?"
She asks.

"Your supervisor will observe your work and he or her decides if you'll level up or not. After you'd level up you will get more demanding tasks. But they will be more interesting."
He answers

I give Noah a nod.
I want to get the demanding work no matter what it takes. I want to level up as fast as I could.
It will help me to understand the system and it would distract me from.... him.

I should stop myself staring at him.
It could get him to wrong ideas.

Noah grabs the board our supervisor a tall man with dark hair had given us.

"These will be your tasks for today. First you'll have to check on patients in the following rooms. Ask for the symptoms and write it down. After that you'll have to-

"Forward the information to the senior physician?!"
I cut off the sentence of our supervisor and imidiatly cover my mouth in embarrassment.

"I'm sorry... I shouldn't have cut you off."
I bow my head but he just smiles.

"You're right. Don't apologize for your completely right answers."

I look down at my feet. Still embarrassed.

"Now. After that you will have to hand out medication pills. I'll trust you. The health of our patients is in your hands for today."
He smiles and I can't help but smile in return. This had always been a wish of mine.

"Don't waste any time. What are you waiting for?!"

I grab Noah's hand and run to the first room.

I knock on the door and greet the patient.
Cancer.
"Hello Miss Carter. How are we feeling today?"
I smile at her.

"Oh darling how sweet and young..."
She strechtes out her weak white thin hand towards me.

I take her hand and look her into her eyes full of worry. Why does God always takes the heart warmth souls from us too soon?!

"I'm feeling better than the last days."

I nod towards Noah who writes down her well being.

"Does anything aches?!"
I ask not satisfied with her answer.

"No nothing."
She smiles again.

Her mouth seems very dry.
I hand her a glass of water.

She tries to sit up straight but I can tell in her expression that something was hurting her.

"Miss...let me help you. Can I check on the scar?!"

She nods slowly.

Noah grabs my shoulder.
"I- I don't think that we are allowed to-"

I shoot daggers at him.

"I don't care what the supervisor told us to do. This lady needs help and shes in pain. The doctor will return in 2 hours and I can't let her wait for that long."

I roll up the coat to check on the scar on her stomach.

"It's infected."
I mumble.

"Should I call the doctor?!"
He asks looking like a fool.

"Call a nurse. The lady needs fluid supply."
I answer.

He nods and leaves the room.

"Miss Carter. A infection around the scar can happen in cause of a weak immune system. You should stay in bed and sleep much. Your body is capable to make it."

She smiles weakly.
"Honey. You are so young. Are you working here?"

I shake my head.
"No. It's for a short time. But I'm really happy to be here and help."

"Is this Noah your boyfriend?!"
She asks sweetly.

I blush.
"No. No. He's just a good friend of mine."

She takes my hand again.
"Honey. If you ever need an advice or just somebody to talk. I'm always here. Room number 41."

"Thank you. That's very kind. I promise to visit you."
I answer.

After that Noah returns with the nurse.
We were a bit late in time but we helped a lady who needed help.
And that was my first priority. After that everything went on very fast.
Most of the patients felt well and there were no complications.

Except that I saw Taeyhung.
I was still upset that he slapped me.
I could never imagine in a million dreams that he would do that.

Taeyhung's pov.

I play with the large sleeves of my white supersized lab coat.
We are very busy since Madison and Jacky wanted to level up.
But the first priority was to help the patients who were in need. Wasn't it?

I can't stop thinking about the incident in the house with lee.
I hate me for what I've done. How often do I want to hurt her?!
She's right. We don't fit. I always hurt her and shes obviously done with letting herself getting  hurt over and over again.
But the fact that she don't want me anymore wouldn't stop me from protecting her.

You want to protect me?!
You?! Who slapped me?!
If you really want to protect me then keep distance.
You are the one who I should be protected from...

A voice calls out in my mind.

"Lee?!"

I look around.
She heard me.
She looks at me from a distance.
Her supersized coat made her look even more smaller and cuter than she already was.

I swallow.
What if it was really her who said that I should keep distance?

I look back at the point where she stood a second ago but now she's gone.

I sigh.
This will never work out.
Not even in a fairytale we would work. ..
