One Month Later.

I laid beside his grave, smiling to myself as I caught a glimpse of a cloud that looked as though someone was sticking their middle finger up high in the sky.

I let out a little chuckle, surprising myself a little as it seemed I hadn't let out anything close to a smile for the past month.

No joke nor meme from Holland or Dee could help make me smile. The amount of pain and pressure I had sitting on my heart and shoulders right now was... Unbearable.

With Artimus now gone, I was left to do everything. It may have not been all on my own, but it still felt like it.

"Fuck you too." I smiled, flipping off the sky as though Artimus could actually see me.

The past month had been a really fucking hard month for me. Probably just as hard as it had been when I found out my parents had passed, except back then I was young and dumb and thrown into the world of assassin training.

Now, I'd lost another family member yeah, but the hardest and most stressful part was the fact that I was now running Artimus' business.

Yeah, I decided after much consideration that I was going to keep Artimus' legacy. Not only because I wanted to keep my job, but before I also owed Artimus. That day I met with Derek, the one where everything was revealed and everyone's true colors were shown?

Well that one shot that Fernando decided to shoot before he and Derek got away, was aimed for me. Except it hit Artimus before Fernando has really bad aim apparently.

So, with Artimus being in a coma for two and a half weeks straight, everything fell upon me.

It seemed as though the council were aware that Artimus and I were related and were ready for me to take over his role.

With this, I decided that I didn't need them. Or a council at least. They promised they'd be by my side if I ever needed them, but I now had my own council.

Dee and Holland... And a few other level threes who we were yet to put into full time positions.

But for now I was making every decision on my own basically.

It started with finding a new base. Which was a hard task in itself.

I had to keep rehousing all of the younger level one and two assassins as time went on.

By the second almost third week, if finally found us a new building. I had it renovated within a week so I could move the level ones and twos back in, back to some sort of schedule.

I enlisted the level threes to help get training back on track before I worked with the council to get some new paying missions to help everyone out with.
