The Next Day.
"Okay time to say goodbye to Lav." Brad spoke to the twins.
Both Brad and I agreed that, for now, I would be referred to as Lav or Lavender while around the kids. They needed to get used to having me around again, and then we'd move onto me being called Mom or Mommy.
Brad passed Dee the twins backpacks as we all stood around the front door. Dee was taking them to daycare today. Yes, they go to daycare now and according to Brad and Dee they absolutely loved it.
Lily and Brook stood in front of the Dee and Brook, having just put their shoes on as I stood a foot away from them, giving each other a small wave.
"Bye, bye!" Lily waved with a huge smile on her face.
She was dressed in a cute white dress with lady bugs on it. Her rather long brown curly hair was placed into two ponytails, which Brad had managed to put together (oh how I wish I could have been there to watch him learn how to do this). She also wore a pair of pink Crocs, and had ahold of her dinosaur toy. Which she seemed to be obsessed with now and wouldn't sleep without according to Brad. She looked so cute, and definitely acted a lot older then she really was.
And Brook, well he was dressed in a white shirt that said 'I run the house' on it and a pair of dark blue shorts on. He wore a pair of white sneakers which I'm sure would be ruined by the end of the day, whilst he had a red toy car in his hand. We'd managed to brush his brown curly hair back (yes they both got Brad's luscious locks) but he refused to do anything with it. It was rather short anyway, but boy did he look like a mini Brad now!
Lily however looked like a mixture of the both of us, except she had my beautiful green eyes while Brook had golden brown eyes like Brad.
As much as I hated spending so much time away from them, I did lowkey like seeing how much they'd changed from when I left to now. They were only little babies when I left, now they're so big!
They're proper little humans now, well not that they weren't before but you understand what I'm saying.
They're so independent, and Lily can really talk.
I hadn't had a chance to sit down and talk with Brad yet, but I had come to the realization that since I'd got back and since I'd been around the twins... I haven't heard Brook talk yet... Like at all. He makes noises and gestures his hands a lot but I haven't heard him talk or say a single word.
I haven't had a chance to ask Brad what's up with that just yet, but I will. I wonder if it's just because he's shy? I mean if it was a real issues Brad would have brought it up to me by now, would have he?
"Give her a hug, you'll see her later tonight." Brad encouraged the twins.
They shyly walked over to me, Lily being the first one to hug me as I crouched down to their level. Lily ran straight back to Brad and hugged his legs as Brook was next to give me a hug.
