I had to leave the room when Bella started her third blood bag. The smell was sickening. I went and sat in my room. I didn't really feel like doing anything. I showered. Got changed into some skinny jeans and a light pink lacy crop top before collapsing on my bed. I laid there just thinking. Hours must have passed because I was snapped out of my thinking by a strange noise.
I heard laughter. There hasn't been laughter in this house for ages. My curiosity peaked and I followed the sound. I found my brother sitting with Bella on the sofa. Both were laughing.
"Well this is different." I exclaimed happily.
"El, come join us," Bella said.
I sat down on the table opposite them. Before I could ask Bella started speaking.
"Edward can hear him,"
"What?" I exclaimed looking at Edward.
He smiled. A smile I hadn't seen since the pair got married.
"Yes, I can hear him. He is just like Bella, good, pure and full of love," Edward told me.
"And he loves our voices, and he's happy" Bella grinned madly at Edward.
"Well how could he not be. He's got the best aunt in the whole entire universe. Not to mention the best parents," I told them chuckling with them.
"He thought that was funny," Edward told me chuckling.
"Well of course he did. His aunt El is hilarious," Bella spoke to her stomach.
"You know, I still think your wrong about the gender. I still think it's going to be a little girl," I told them.
Kissing both their cheeks as I stood up. I left them sitting on the sofa laughing together. It was as if they had forgotten that Bella could die. Like we weren't all being hunted by wolves. On my way out I passed Jake.
"Don't go that way unless you want to feel like the danger has been forgotten," I warned him.
"Jacob," Dads voice came from the bottom of the stairs.
I continued past him while he followed my dad down the stairs. I ended up in the kitchen with Alice.
"Everyone seems somewhat happier now," I muttered sitting down at the table.
"I agree," Alice replied sitting next to me and grabbing my hand.
"But it's almost like they have forgotten the danger we are in Alice," I explained.
"Maybe that's what they need. Just a little bit of time where they don't have to worry," Alice suggested.
I nodded and we sat in silence for a bit. Mum, Dad and Emmett all came in and explained the plan to leave. I didn't want them to go, but they wouldn't let me argue. They all hugged me and before I could complain again, they all left.
I sulked my way into the living room where Bella was with Rose. Alice soon joined us. Rose sat on one side of Bella. Alice on the other and I was on the sofa opposite. Hanging upside down with my feet in the air.
"So, we should think baby names," Rose declared.
"I already have a few in mind," Bella stated smiling widely "If it's a boy, I want to call him EJ,"
I gave a slight nod of approval.
"And if it's a girl?" I asked.
"I like the sound of Renesmee," she said softly.
"Can't we go for something more classic?" Rose complained.
"Sorry but the name Elizabeth is already taken. That is the only classic girls name worth a thought," I teased.
