Chapter 14

"Hello?" I asked answering the call.

"Hey babe, just finished at mums," Seth's voice told me.

Lily put her ear to the other side of the phone listening to my conversation. I rolled my eyes at her and put it on speaker.

"Okay... hope it went okay..." I said nervously.

"It went fine. How bout I come around and tell you all about it?" He told me sensing my nervousness.

"Well I'm not at home baby. I'm at Lily's," I told him.

"Oh, hi Lily! I could pick you up when you're ready?" Seth offered.

"Hey how did you know I was listening?" Lily laughed.

"I guessed," he laughed "And you just confirmed it,"

"I don't know when I'm finishing babe," I told Seth.

"Well I have a movie date here at 7 so you do have to be gone by then I'm afraid," Lily told me.

"Okay, well I will pick you up just before 7 then Liz, can you send me the address?" Seth told me.

"Pick me up how? We cannot drive," I laughed.

"We can't drive cars..." He stated.

"You have a motorcycle?!" I exclaimed.

"Maybe... see you later," Seth chuckled before hanging up.

I just stared at the phone for a second, before texting Lily's address and turning to Lily.

"Josh is coming here?" I asked.

"Yeah my aunt and uncle are going out to dinner with Jess. She's visiting from college," Lily explained.

I waggled my eyebrows at her, and she blushed deeply.

"Just be safe Hun," I told her, and she nodded "And don't forget to tell me how it goes!"

She laughed at me. We continued to pass the time but chatting. At about 6:30 I helped Lily tidy her room as her aunt and uncle called a goodbye up the stairs.

I heard their car leave and watched as Lily looked nervously in the mirror. Smoothing down her top.

"Maybe I should put some more make up on," she sighed biting her lip.

"Lily, you are beautiful," I told her taking her hands in mine and pulling her away from the mirror "You don't need to do anything to impress Josh. You are naturally beautiful," I told her.

"I love you El," she said throwing her arms around me.

"I love you to Lil," I told her.

We both heard an engine roar outside. I looked out of the window and saw Seth sitting on a motorbike.

"Wow," Lily whispered.

"Yeah wow..." I said shocked.

Seth looked up and waved at me. I waved back smiling.

"Don't keep him waiting," Lily told me pushing me towards the door.

I grabbed my phone and kissed Lily's cheek. As we walked downstairs to the front door.

"I will see you later Lil's, thanks for the catch up," I hugged her, and she hugged me back tightly.

She stood at the door and waved to Seth as I walked across the lawn. I heard the door shut as I reached Seth.

I raised my eyebrows at him. While looking over the bike. It was old. But sounded like it ran well.

"It was my dad's when he was younger," Seth explained handing me a helmet.
