We found my family all sitting around the piano where Ness was playing.

We were all enchanted by the music that a loud crash startled us all. We looked to Alice shocked to see a vase smashed on the floor. It took about a minute before anyone reacted. And it was Jasper that ran forward to comfort his wife.

"Alice what is it?" he asked.

"The Volturi," She gasped out "They are coming for us... Aro, Caius, Marcus, the guard... Alec," She glanced at me with the last name.

I froze. Not again... Why the hell does he insist on killing my family at every oppurtunity.

"Why Alice?" Bella demanded.

"I don't know..." Alice muttered.

"What did Irina see in the woods?" Edward asked.

I vaguely heard a discussion occurring in the room. The words immortal child, witnesses and my name were being thrown around, but I wasn't listening. I could feel the panic and anger building inside of me.

I knew Alec was easily angered. I didn't know if he knew we weren't mates anymore. And I didn't want to be present when he found out about Seth... but more than the panic and anxiety was the anger.

Did he not see how well attacking my family went last time? Did he learn nothing? I couldn't believe the guy...

A warm hand rubbing circles on my cheek snapped me out of my anger fuelled state. Seth was looking at me concerned.

"Are you okay?" he asked worried.

I nodded and gave a small smile. I heard the back door close and looked around confused.

Everyone was in the room, except Alice and Jasper. I walked to the back door, opened it and started to follow the scents of my brother and sister. I could feel Seth behind me. I wasn't going fast so he could easily keep up in human form.

The scents led to a cliff face in La Push. Where Wolfy... I mean Sam was standing.

"Seth, Elizabeth," he greeted.

"Where's my siblings," I demanded ignoring pleasantries.

"They asked to cross the border to the ocean. I granted them permission. You just missed them. They have gone. They left these for you though," he held out two envelopes.

I didn't move. I had stopped breathing, thinking and moving when he told me they were gone.

"Gone?" I stuttered out.

Sam nodded and Seth pulled me into a tight hug as I started bawling.

Time passed. I don't know how much but Seth eventually loosened his grip on me.

"Babe, we have to go tell your family, they need to know," he murmured in my ear.

I nodded sadly and he grabbed my hand leading me back to my house at a slow walk.

We got there and my whole family were waiting outside.

"Elizabeth where did you go?" Mum asked, upon seeing my face she added "What's happened," She directed it at Seth.

"Alice and Jasper crossed the reservation to get to the ocean. They have left," Seth told them.

I chocked back a sob and the rest of my family burst into confused uproar.

"They left letters," I muttered, and Seth handed Dad one of the envelopes before handing the other to me.

I looked down at it. My name was written in neat cursive. I knew the writing was Jaspers straight away. I opened it carefully.
