We arrived in London and headed straight to the known whereabouts of one of our nomad friends Toshiro. He had lived in this basement flat since he came to London from Japan. The place was disgusting. It stank of death and I could feel Seth tense next to me and the sight of a dead body in the corner. I stood with Seth and grabbed his hand to calm him down.

"Hello Elizabeth, nice to see you again," He grinned at me. But it wasn't a friendly grin, it held evil thoughts.

I nodded and leant into Seth as Mum and Dad explained the situation. Toshiro looked uneasy and although mum and dad liked him, I had never trusted the guy.

We left with a maybe as an answer. I wanted to press for an answer, but mum and dad were in charge. So, we had to do it their way... Me and Seth followed them to a hotel, and we checked in.

"Alistair won't come out until late tonight so best make ourselves comfortable. Got a few hours yet," Dad told us.

Seth went to lay down, mumbling something about jet lag. I watched as the sun set and darkness became to fill the air. Uneasiness from our meeting with Toshiro was filling me up. Something wasn't right... finally I gave up.

"I'm going for a walk, see you in a minute?" I explained standing up and leaving the room before I could get a reply.

I darted through the shadows to Toshiro's hovel. I was less than a street away when I heard frightened shouts. I ran towards the sound and darted behind a bin when I saw figures up ahead.

I peered around the bin and almost gasped at what I saw. Jane and Alec were standing there. Alec was obviously using his gift as black smoke surrounded them. A sharp sting resonated from where my mating mark used to be and my hand flew to it in pain. Alec's hand did the same and he looked around, I ducked away quickly.

"Alec," I heard the familiar voice of Aro say.

I poked my head around the bin slowly but hid away again when I saw Alec looking directly at where I was hiding.

"I will never go against you!" I heard Toshiro's accented voice say.

I cast a glance around the bin again only to be met with a cloud of smoke and everything went black.

The blackness left me, and I sat up, jumping into a defensive position. I looked around taking in my surroundings. I was standing in what looked like a dance studio. Funny how dance studios have become ominous since mine and Bella's meeting with the tracker.

Alec was standing against the wall looking at me. His eyes looked broken as they met mine. I stood up straighter and looked towards the door.

Alec took a step towards me and I matched it with a step away from him keeping the distance between us. Fury raged in his eyes and he turned and punched the wall hard, causing it to crumble. I let out a gasp and he turned to look at me again. Rage still present in his eyes as he rushed towards me so fast, I couldn't step back quick enough. He stopped just a step away from me and glared into my eyes.

"Alec you're going to let me go..." I told him trying to sound confident.

"You left me," he hissed angrily.

"I didn't choose to; I didn't even want to..." I argued back "Fate changed. I could see in your eyes the moment I saw you again that you already knew. You must have felt the connection weakening like I did,"

"You made this happen," he hissed pushing me against the wall hard holding me there by my shoulders.

I winced in pain, but he didn't let up, in fact he gripped me tighter causing cracks to form on my shoulders.
