The lyrics team got back together after our small brake and listened to the demo. The music was sweet, almost nostalgic, I could definitely see the girls pulling off this concept perfectly.

We sat together in a round table and all started to pitch-in ideas. I felt a little out of place, I didn't have the experience they did, plus they had the advantage of having lots of scraps from previous songs they had worked on.

At the end of the day, we came up with a couple of "okay" lines, but they were obviously not good enough to submit. We needed at least three different ideas and seemed to barely have half of one right now.

I got home and threw myself on the couch, face-down. I groaned loudly and Naeun came out of her room.

"What's this ugly sack of potatoes doing on my couch?" She ironically asked.

I scoffed, sitting up, "I bought this couch, so technically it's mine."

"Okay, okay," she sat down next to me, "what's up with the groaning? I thought you were excited about this job."

"I am, don't worry about it. It's just been a long day..."

"So..." she turned to me, lifting her eyebrows, "have you seen Doyoung yet? Did you ask for an autograph?" She asked excitedly.

I laughed, "stop with your obsession! It's just been a day. I was stuck in a room writing the whole time!"

"So what? You could've seen him when you went to the bathroom or something!"

"Naeun, he just had a comeback. I doubt he's going in and out of the company so soon after. He probably has a lot of events to attend, you know."

She crossed her arms and pouted, "okay, fine. But when you see him, ask him for his signature, and make sure you tell him my name!" Her pout started morphing into a grin, miming what she thinks her favorite idol would do, "to Naeun, with love. From Doyoung~" she screeched, "wow! I could tattoo that on my forehead!"

I shook my head. Something's definitely wrong with her.

It was a new day. I had spent hours in front of my laptop thinking of something to write but everything was mediocre.

If only I'd had a decent boyfriend once. Someone I could think about without wanting to punch them. How easy that would've made it.
