I appreciate the masterpiece that is you, because your existence alone is art
BTS - Just One Day ♪
Everyone's heads turned towards the heartthrob in the room. Kim Doyoung was one of those people who seemed unrealistically perfect but actually existed.
How is that even possible?
A small "wow" escaped my lips, grabbing the attention of the boys in front of me. But I didn't pay much attention to it as my eyes were glued on the individual across the room. That was until he looked back.
I wanted to look away, but I was awestruck to see one of my favorite singers so close to me. And then the unexpected happened. Every fan girl's dream. He smiled.
Wow.
This time I kept my mouth shut.
"Oh my god, he just smiled at you," said Hyerin excitedly. I was at a loss of words.
If Naeun were here she'd pass out.
"I'd go to that camping trip if he went," continued Hyerin, snapping me out of my thoughts. "He won't go?" I asked.
"I doubt it... he probably doesn't want to spend time with random employees and trainees."
"Oh..." I finally looked away, feeling almost disappointed at the fact that it would be very unlikely for him to ever talk to us.
I looked at Mark who was staring at his phone, intensely typing something, he almost looked mad.
"Mark," I said, making him stop and look at me, "at what time should we meet to work?"
"I don't think I can today," he said, quickly grabbing his food and standing up before walking away, "I'll see you guys later."
What the hell? What's wrong with him?

"You won't believe who I saw today," I screamed, opening the door to my apartment only to be met by a half-naked Lucas laying on my couch, "Jesus! What the hell dude? Put a shirt on!"
He just laughed at my comment, not paying any attention to my request. "Why are you here? Where's Naeun?"
"She's taking a shower."
Naeun and Lucas had been dating for about two years, but I had known them both for much longer. Lucas was in one of my music classes back in my sophomore year of college and I introduced them. Little did I know, they would hit it off so well.
At this point it felt like we were a family.
When Naeun finally came out of the bathroom she went straight to the sofa with her boyfriend. They whispered something to each other.
Totally not suspicious...
"What's going on?" I asked.
Naeun got up from where she was sitting and walked towards me with a huge grin on her face, "okay, don't freak out but..." she pulled her left hand from behind her back to show me a huge ring on her finger, "we're getting married!"
I couldn't believe my eyes, "oh my god!" I hugged her, "wow, congratulations! Oh my god, I can't believe it!"
We jumped up and down in joy. I couldn't believe my best friend was getting married! I started tearing up, like a child.
"Don't cry!" Naeun said.
"How can I not? I'm so happy for you guys," we made our way to the couch where Lucas was and I turned to him with a serious pouty face, "you better treat her right or I'll kill you!"

Another week quickly passed by. Things were looking good with the lyrics. I kept working on C&C's comeback, even if they didn't really let me do much, "you're too new" they kept saying, pfft! As if being new meant I had no ideas.
Things were going really well with S5L though. I had gotten closer to the guys and felt like I knew them in a short time. Mark on the other hand, had gotten more distant. I couldn't help but remember the day in the cafeteria...
Did I do something to offend him? Or maybe he's just going through something at home?
I wanted to ask his friends, but didn't want to seem nosey. Instead I just acted like it didn't bother me. We were just working together after all.
Halfway through my day I received a text from Hyerin:
혜린 ✨
Hey girly
Mr. Kim is looking for youOkay? Weird...
What does he want ?🤷🏻♀️
He just said it's urgent
Careful tho
He hasn't had his afternoon coffee yet😂 lmao thanks for the heads up
𖥸
I softly knocked on Mr. Kim's door.
"Come in."
"Hello, sir, did you want to see me?"
He motioned me to sit down and I did, nervously looking around his office for a sign of some sort.
He's not gonna fire me right? I just started!
"Are you nervous?"
"N-no. I'm okay," I smiled.
"Well, Seyeon, I have a proposition to make. An offer I don't think you'll want to pass out on," he smirked.
I wanted to barf. Why's he talking like that? It's really weirding me out...
"Have you ever thought of performing?"
