I was dumbfounded.

What's she doing here? Is her group performing today?

"Sorry," I mumbled exiting the room quickly.

"What was that?" Hyerin asked, confused at the awkward interaction.

"Nothing... she just hates me," I crossed my arms as we walked in a new direction, looking for the right dressing room.

"Oh, because of Mark?"

"Huh?" I furrowed my brows, "why would it be because of him?"

"Well, you know... cause they used to date."

My heart sank.

"She's probably just jealous he moved on. She can be a real bitch sometimes," Hyerin continued.

They... dated?

"Seyeon? You okay? Why'd you stop?"

I hadn't even realized I had stopped walking in the middle of the hall. Incoherent questions about Mark and Sunny's relationship rushing through my mind like freshly shot bullets.

They dated. Is that why she was always such a bitch to me? But, we weren't together back then. She hated me because we were friends? No... she didn't hate me, she hated the fact that I was close to Mark. Does she know we're together now? I can only imagine how much meaner she's gonna get after she finds out. But then again, it's not like we've been very public about us...

"Ah, that must be the room," Hyerin said, grabbing my arm, finally making me move from the same spot. As we got closer I read "System Five Link" on the door. We found it. Well, Hyerin found it.

I cleared my mind of all unnecessary thoughts before walking in, putting on my best smile, "hello everyone!"

"Seyeon, hey!" The guys greeted me. I scanned the room and saw Mark on the far left getting his makeup fixed. I decided to wait until he was done to greet him, so I talked to the boys first.

"You guys excited?"

"Hell yeah!" Yuta exclaimed. "I'm a bit nervous," Jungwoo replied while fidgeting with a ring in his index finger. Taeyong placed a hand on his shoulder with a sympathetic look, "we're all a bit nervous, but we'll do great. I know it."

It always amazed me seeing Taeyong talk. He was so mature and treated the members motherly. They all must really trust him. At times like that I wondered what it would've been like to be part of a group. To know there were people that would always be beside you, that you could count on, and share experiences with.

"How're you feeling?" Taeil said. "Me?" I asked and he nodded, "are you confident about Mark?"

"What do you mean?"
