It had been 20 minutes since the doctor dropped the P bomb on myself and my family. My mother was now pacing the room chewing her nails, my father and brother sat in the far corner not wanting to get involved.
i felt beyond bad for this, i had a future and i went and slept with a boy and got myself pregnant.
"ma" i said
"what! what now Melody! do you want to tell me something else?" she snapped
"no, i wanted to apologize" i said
"apologize?? apologize? nows not the time to apologize Melody!" she said angrily
"i didn't mean for this to happen ma, i promise once this baby is out i'm going to give it up-
"what? absolutely not! you are not aborting nor giving this baby up! you were old enough to get that dick raw! you will be old enough to raise this baby!" she scolded
"ma!" Alejandro exclaimed in disgust
"i'm sorry okay Ma! i'm sorry i slept with Tayler without protection but i'm mostly sorry for disappointing you all, i know you wanted me to go to college and get a degree like Ale and all but i can still do online work. If you wanna kick me out and everything it's fine. i totally get it" i said sadly tears falling from my eyes
I heard my mother sigh before she came over to hug me.
"i don't want to kick you out honey. What's going to happen is simple okay. we're in this together okay baby" she said kissing my hair
