Chapter twenty-one.

Bailey's Pov.

We got a page from Derek. It was a 911. We responded quickly and waited for the ambulance. It pulled in as we rushed through the doors.

"Jane Doe dro-" The EMT started.

"No, it's not a Jane Doe, It's Meredith!" Derek yelled. We quickly brought her into a trauma room and paged the other interns. We needed to do everything to save this woman's life.

"Has anybody called her mother!" I asked.

"I'll call her" Richard Webber said. He stepped out fo the room and headed to his office. We continued working on her.

Richard's Pov.

I ran to my office as quickly as I could. I needed to call Ellis, she needed to know her daughter was dying.

"Chief! Where are all the interns?" I heard Addison Montgomery yell. I ignored her and stepped into my office. She followed me. I grabbed the phone and dialed the last known number for Ellis. It was ringing.

"Not now Addie!" I said.

"I need intern!" She yelled. She continued to stand in the doorway.

"Hello? Who is this?" Ellis asked.

"Ellis it's Richard!" I said.

"Why are you calling me?" She asked. Addison was still standing in the door way talking her foot.

"It's Meredith, we need you at the hospital" I said. Addison looked confused. "What do you need Addison?" I asked sternly.

"What happened to her Richard?" Addison asked.

"She was in an accident" I said. Addison ran out of the room. The line fell almost silent. I could hear Ellis's sobs on the phone. The call ended a moment later. How could I explain to her what happened.

Addison's Pov.
"Whoa She is in V-FIB!" Burke yelled. As I walked in. He shocked her with the paddles. She was lifeless and cold. Her skin was pale with a blue tint.

"She is hypothermic" Bailey said. I started spewing what they could do to help her. I walked over and held her hand.

"Come on Meredith please don't do this" I said. "W-Who found her?" I asked.

"Derek did." Richard said. "I called Ellis she will be here soon.

"Go get the interns and have them wait for her" Bailey said.

"I'll do it" I said. I walked out of the room and saw them standing there crying.

"Is she Alive?" Cristina asked. I nodded.

"We have to go and wait for her mother, but you guys should prepare yourselves" I said.

"Prepare ourselves? What does that mean" Izzie asked.

"That's what we say to the family before we call time of death" Cristina said.

"We need to go Ellis will be And and we are not going to leave her waiting" I said. We walked to the waiting room and waited for Ellis to come in. We waited in silence.

"I can't do this!" Cristina said. She stood up and walked through the doors.

"Cristina you cant leave in the middle of your shift!" George yelled.

"Let her go" I said. Ellis arrived and she looked lost.

"Ellis?" I said.

"Yes, do you know where my daughter is?" She asked.

"Yes, I do. Why don't you sit down so we can talk?" I asked.

"Okay" She said. She sat down and I filled her in on what I knew.

A/N:
I chose to not have Ellis die in this or have Alzheimer's. I wish that this actually happened in the show but too late for that now. Lol.
