Meredith's Pov.

I had been going around helping patients for an hour. I have been helping a little girl who lost her mom somewhere.  We looked for her mom but there was no sight of her.

"I need someone to take this kid!" I yelled.

"Is she injured?" An officer asked.

"No, but I need someone to take her" I said.

"There is no one to take her right now" he said. I rolled my eyes and walked off. I noticed out of the corner of my eye, a man laying on the concrete by the dock in a pool of blood.

"Sir, are you ok?" I asked. He was shaking and in shock.

"M-m-my l-leg, I-I think I b-broke it" He was stuttering as he spoke. He was soaking wet so he must have been in the water.

I turned to the little girl. "I want you to look away and don't look over here because there is a lot of blood and I don't want you to get scared" I said.  She looked at me and nodded. She quickly turned and I worked on his leg.

"I c-climbed up h-here, I-I got knocked d-down" he stared.

"Shh, try not to talk" I said. "Just focus on saving your breath"  I started working on his leg, sterilizing the wound and sewing him up. He started fussing a little bit. "I need you to stop moving" I said.

"I'm s-sorry" he said. He stopped moving for a little bit but than started up again and he was almost whining in pain. I placed my jacket over him and he snapped. "I can't do this anymore! I can't!" He yelled.

"No don't Mo-." I had fallen off the dock. I hit my head pretty hard and I felt paralyzed. I tried to swim and fight but I couldn't. The water was freezing. I was also stuck in time. I slowly closed my eyes and started to fall. I was sinking. One minute I was there and the next, I wasn't.
