Chapter twenty-five.

Meredith's Pov.
Addison's letter.

"Dear Meredith,
I know you are going to be mad and hurt but I don't want you to be. I love you and I left because I love you. I couldn't be here in case you died. It was killing me. I will love you forever Meredith and I know you will love me too, but please don't come looking for me, it is better this way. I love you and I always will.

P.S,
I left you a surprise in your bag so you will have something to remember me by."

Addison was gone. I knew she would never be back. She was right I was hurt, and I tried so hard not to be but nothing worked. I fell in love with her and now she was gone.

"What are you reading?" My mother asked.

"The letter Addison left for me" I said.

"What does it say?" She asked.

"She just wanted to say she hoped I was okay and that she is moving to another hospital" I said. I acted like I barley cared.

"That was sweet of her to say goodbye, are you ready to go home?" She asked.

"Yeah, I am" I said. We walked down to the lobby and got into my car. My mother was going to be staying with me temporarily, until I was better and back on my feet.

10 years later.

It has been 10 years since Addison had left. I had almost forgotten about her completely. I had two kids and I had married Derek. Derek started working in Washington D.C for the President. I hated that he was working there. He claimed it was all for me and the kids. It wasn't though, it was for him.  I had met my half sister Lexie. She now lived with me and my mother. Izzie got cancer and left. George died in a bus crash. And Cristina left.

"Zola, Bailey, it's time to go see your grandmother." I said.

"Okay Mommy" Bailey said as he ran into the kitchen.  My sister had them all day and I knew she needed a break.

"Your mother and your aunt will be back later, Have fun girls" My mother said.

"Bye Mom, Love you" I said.

"Bye Ellis" Lexie said. Ellis has taken Lexie in when her mother died. Our father had become lost in his own world and couldn't face the reality.

"We are going to have so much fun tonight!" Lexie said.  I agreed with her. Bailey has thrown a dinner party and invited us to her home. My mother chose not to go because she didn't want me to hire a sitter.

"Why didn't Mark bring you?" I asked.

"He was going to be a little late and he wanted me to be here on time" she said. She started to go through the center consult to grab a charger.

"Did you find my candy stash?" I asked.

"Not the charger is just buried" she said. She picked up an envelope with my name on it. "What's this?" She asked.

"It's a letter from an old friend" I said. I knew exactly what it was. It was Addison's letter.

"Oh, who?" She asked.

"Addison" I said. She made an O with her mouth. She was the only person who I ever told about Addison. She found it romantic and sweet.

"Do you mind if I read it?" She asked.

"Go ahead" I said. She opened the envelope and took out the paper. She read it carefully.

"Aww this is so sweet Mer, have you spoken to her since she wrote this to you?" Lexie asked. We continued on to Bailey's house.
