𝙋𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙃𝙖𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙙 &𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦

Chapter twenty-nine.

Addison's Pov.

I had been living in LA for ten years. Ten years without thinking about my past. I had forgotten about Seattle within a year of moving to LA. I had started a new chapter in my life. I walked into the conference room of the medical practice I have been working at for the last ten years.

"Where's Nai?" I asked.

"She is with a patient, who is very hot" Cooper said.

"I am going to forget you said that" Charlotte said.

"Are those her kids?" I asked.

"Yeah" violet said. I walked over to my office. I said hi to the kids playing in the lobby. As I walked by Naomi's door swung open. I saw the woman inside. Meredith. She looked at me straight in the face.

"Addison me-" Naomi started.

I quickly pulled her into a hug. She didn't know how to react. Nor did anybody else who was watching.

"This is where you fled to?" she said pulling away. I nodded.

"You two know each other?" Naomi asked.

"This is Meredith, from Seattle" I said.

"Oh, I didn't know" Nai said. I asked Meredith to step into my office.

"H-how did you find me?" I asked.

"I didn't know you were here until now" she said. You could tell she was older but her skin hadn't aged a day. She was more mature and wise. Maybe motherhood did that to a person.

"So you have kids?" I said. She nodded. "Are they Derek's?" I asked.

"Yeah, and I- I have another one on the way" she said. Her phone started buzzing. The screen read Lexie. Is she darting someone new?

"That's great, and how is Derek by the way?" I asked. He facial expression changed.

"He uh, he's-" she said.

"It's okay you don't have to tell me" I said.

"No I should, I mean you were his ex-wife" she said. She sat there silent for a moment. "Derek died last week" she finally muttered.

"No, how?" I asked.

"He was hit by a semi" she said. At this point she was full on in tears.

"Hey, shh it's okay, I've got you" I said moving over and giving her a warming hug. She still smelled like lavender, but she also had a scent that was too familiar to me. It was the vanilla perfume I left for her.

"I know this might be a lot to ask but,would it be okay if I came to you for appointments?" She asked.

"Yeah, sure" I said. "Anything for you." She nodded and thanked me.

"I have to get going, the kids are going to be hungry" she said. She walked to the door and turned. "Bye Addie" She said. In a matter of ten years, the woman I used to love had been married, became a mother, and now she was widowed.  Shew walked to the elevator with her children each holding one of her hands.

"So what's the new gossip about Seattle?" Sam asked.

"D-Derek's dead...That is the new gossip of Seattle" I said. Everyone turned and stared at me looking for answers. So I told them what I knew.
