Chapter nine.

Addison's Pov.

"Dr. Grey we have surgery in 15 minutes, read the chart and scrub in when you're done" I said handing her the chart. I was going to use this as my chance to apologize for hitting her as hard as I did.

"I am on Bailey's service" she said. She took the chart and placed in on the counter. She started walking down the hallway.

"What was that about?" Derek asked.

"Nothing, it was nothing" I said. I started walking down the opposite end of the hallway. About 15 minutes later I was scrubbing in for my surgery. A simple surgery that could wait a little longer. It was an issue that could resolve on its own but I didn't wasn't to risk anything.

"Dr. Montgomery-Shepherd" your surgery isn't scheduled until tomorrow" one of the scrub nurses said.

"No it's for today!" I said bitterly.

"It was rescheduled, there is an incoming trauma, all surgeries that are non emerging were rescheduled until tomorrow" she said.

"Ok thank you for letting me know" I said. I walked out of the scrub room and returned my patient to her room.

"My surgery isn't happening? W-what I-if the b-baby dies!" Ellie maxwell yelled.

"Your baby isn't going to die, but there is an incoming trauma so the non emergent cases have been postponed until tomorrow" I reassured her.

"Oh, then you should go, you have people to save!" She said with a change of tone. I walked out of the room and down to the ambulance bay.

"Dr.Montgomery-Shepherd, so kind of you to join us" Dr.Bailey said.

"Just because I work with babies doesn't mean I can't help out" I said.

"Nobody said anything about you being here, honey" Derek said as he walked out of the hospital.

"She implied it Derek" I whispered.

"No, she didn't" He whispers back. The sound of sirens soon overpowered the conversation.

"Alright lets get a move on people, Grey, Yang you get the first ambulance bring them to trauma one" Bailey yelled. When the ambulance stopped they did and Bailey said.

"O'Malley, get them into trauma three, Stevens, Karev, Trauma 4!" Burke yelled shortly after . When all of the ambulances were unloaded we all piled into sellereste trauma rooms.

I'm out of school for another three weeks, yay! a total of six weeks. Thanks corona*that was sarcasm.* I am going to post a few chapters today because I have the time to. I started online school today and it was so annoying.
