Chapter 6 - Assassin

I woke up in pain, so much pain. I was sitting in a beautiful bedroom. Black and gold covered everything. The bed was comfortable. The sheets were extremely soft. Though, I didn't know where I was. I tried to remember but nothing. All I remembered was my name and a gold hand. Odd things for me to remember. Suddenly someone walked in. A man who's skin was all gold and wearing all black dress clothing strided over to me and sat on the chair beside the bed.

"Good morning, Black Rose. Let's have a talk". He said crossing his legs..........

Yesterday after the kidnapping of Y/N

"Y/N, darling I had faith in you but it seems you have failed I have to bring you back up". Midas said, flicking some switches. He expected her to walk out of the course, but nothing.

"Y/N? Everything ok?" He asked looking down the stairs. He pressed a button on his coms and spoke,

"We have a situation down in the training rooms. Agent 2187 has gone missing. Find her". He said sternly. Where could she be? She only got lost in the vents. She should have show up by now. Midas paced for a bit thinking of what to do. He walked rapidly to his office and punched something in on the computer. He sent out a distress signal for the other agents.
After a while of Midas pacing, playing with a pen, a henchman walked in.

"Boss we found nothing. We've searched the area and perimeter. She's not on the grounds". The henchman said. Midas began to become extremely worried.

"I want a search team going out there and finding her. Take as many as you need". He said pointing to the door.

"What about you, sir?" He asked.

"I've called the agents back to HQ". He said putting his hand to his forehead, trying to calm down.

"And in the meantime?" The henchman asked on.

"I will deal with it. Got it?" Midas stated, starting to get aggravated. He pointed to the henchman to get out and leave him alone.

"Yes sir. Starting preparations for a search team now". He said nervously.

"Just get going with it!" Midas yelled. It had only been an hour and he was already starting to lose it.

Reader POV

He sat there and stared at me intimately.

"Do you know where you are?" He asked.

"No. I don't remember anything". I said.

"Good. Follow me, I have work for you". He said getting up. Fastest talk I've ever had, or at least I think. I got up following the unknown man down large black hallways. We made it to what looked like a control room. Multiple people were gathered around a giant circle table. The table seem to have a hologram of a map. Though I'm not quite sure what map.

"Excuse me, but where am I?" I asked looking at the tall man. He turned to me while leaning on the table.

"The island of Fortnite, my dear. You work for SHADOW now". He said. I approached cautiously.

"You're our new Assassin, The Black Rose". He smiled devilishly. I looked behind him to see a couple men wearing black suits and masks. They wore hats backwards hat had some form of a shape in the top. Though I could really make out what it was.

"Assassin? Why me?" I asked looking back up to him.

"You're one of the best fighters around". He said almost shocked at my words.

"I am?" I asked. He gave me a look.

"Oh, I am". I said more taking the hint. This wasn't by my own choices. Even if it was I don't remember agreeing to it. A girl with long green hair and a dark outfit approached me. Se wore a mask the look like some sort of gas mask.

"Let's get you ready". She said gently grabbing my shoulders and leading me off to a different room. We walked down the cold, dark corridor. She moved me into a room full of suits and weapons.

"Take what you want your suit is in that room over there". She said pointing to what looked like a change room.

"I'll be out here if you need anything". She said walking out of the room, the door whooshing behind her. The breeze left by the door shocked the hairs on my neck. Something wasn't right. But everything happening so fast I didn't hesitate and walked into the change room.

I walked out and admired myself in the mirror. My outfit looked like the girls who stood outside the locker room, except mine was pitch black. Gold holsters and buckets covers my outfit. My golden necklace shined with the dim lights of the room. The outfit was quite fitting and it hugged my curves. I grabbed a heavy sniper and threw it over my back. I put duelling pistols in my shoulder holsters and put some grenades by my waist. I slipped a knife into a pocket on my back, which I guess was for backup plans. I fixed in my earpiece and walked out. I didn't even wait up for the girl waiting for me and I marched down the hall a serious, dead like look on my face.

I entered the control room. Everyone turned to face me as I swayed into the room.

"Ah yes, you look absolutely beautiful". The golden man said.

"Who are you?" I sneered. He paused for a moment.

"I am Midas. This young lady is Toxin," he said, pointing to the green haired girl who came in after me.

"This is TNTina, Skye and Meowscles". His finished pointing to the others on the opposite side of the room. This 'Midas' man was very attractive, for being all gold that is. I couldn't help but feel like I recognized him.

"Do I know you from somewhere?" I asked.

"No darling I don't believe so. You ask so many questions that I cannot answer at this time. Maybe later love. When I have you alone". He smirked at me, grabbing my shoulders and bringing me to the holographic table.

"Let's talk about your first assignment. You see, we here all have a twin. One is evil, one is good. We here at SHADOW are the good guys. GHOST on the other hand, is evil. They might not seem like it at first. But they are too dangerous to be kept alive. That's where you come in". He said flicking some buttons and showing a zoomed in area of the map.

Location: Weeping Woods, the hologram read.

"We need you to eliminate the targets. Starting with agent Peely. He has a secret base in the woods. Find it, find him, and kill him. Easy as that". He said putting his hands up pointing to me. I felt uneasy but I agreed.

"When do I start?"
