Chapter 11 - Tangled

Midas let go of me, I gave him a sad expression. I looked up to see that the twin had disappeared. Midas and I backed away into a hallway out of sight.
"Do you think we were seen?" I asked him.
"I don't believe so, but we need to act fast. Go back in and be quick and effective". He said. I was hesitating for once. I just stood there, looking at him.
"What are you waiting for?" He asked a little more serious.
"Nothing, sir". I said apologetically.
"I don't want to have to use other methods of persuasion on you". He said, his hand cover his gun holster. I rapidly walked back out into the crowd, looking for a man in a white suit.

GHOST Midas POV

"Skye? What are you doing?!" I whisper yelled as she pushed the brightly dressed DJ to the side.
"I wanted to change it up a bit". She winked, though her eyes didn't look right. A little bit red. She had changed the music to the same song, but more upbeat and female voices carried it through. I huffed and walked down into the hall filled with people. I didn't realize how many people were on this island until I brought them all together. As I walked through the crowd, I got eyed by some people, mostly women. I kept my distance, grabbing a drink from one of the henchmen carrying a tray. I finished it quickly, squinting at the bitterness of the liquid and placed the glass on a nearby table. I mingled a bit more until my eyes fell upon a girl in a short, flowing dress. I smirked slightly and approached the young girl.
"Excuse me miss but—" I was cut of by her looking right at me. Fuck, it's Y/N. Chill, chill ok. How is she here, why is she here? She's probably here to kill me, shit. Think golden boy. I thought to myself.
"Eh hm, pardon me. Drink went down the wrong way. Would you care to dance, love?" I asked clearing my throat. She looked at me and smiled.
"I'd love to". She said. I grabbed her hand and slowly brought her closer to me. The song wasn't really made for this, but I swayed with her. I searched around with my eyes and spotted Tina, and gave her a look. She gave me a confused face. I looked down to Y/N who I was dancing with and Tina slipped into a hallway. She was going to notify the rest of the agents that she was here.
"You seem tense". She smirked. I looked down at her, visibly stressed now.
"Yeah, just not used to the crowd". I said.
"We can go somewhere else if you want". She slid her hand down my arm. I had to stop myself from the temptation, but I had a plan.
"We've got the place surrounded". Tina said through the coms.
"Sure why don't we". I smirked at Y/N, who was oblivious to the trap she was in. I grabbed her arm, not so much to that it was threatening, and pulled her away. As I was walking, I saw 'Remedy', who I knew was Toxin, glance at me. Y/N gave me a hesitant look.
"Maybe, we should go to your office". She tried playing it cool. He's back there , I know he is.
"This is the quickest way". I said playing along. I heard a high pitcher ringing noise, it came from Y/N earpiece. Her face became emotionless, she stood there and glared. I was scared now, she pulled out two hand canons from under her dress and aimed them at me.
"Don't try it brother, or this won't end well for anyone". I heard my twin say from behind me.
"Now Tina!" I shouted. The floor above the SHADOW Midas collapsed, he cried out in pain as the metal and brick knocked him to the floor. Just then I heard shooting coming from the main hall. SHADOW henchman were attached to wires and were being lowered by helicopters into the building. Bullets rained everywhere, and the public ran to get away from the chaos. I looked around to see Meowscles with his heavy assault rifle shooting up at the men. I remembered that Y/N was behind me. I spun around and twisted her arms throwing her to the ground.
"Sorry darling. I'll make up for it when this is all done." I said knocking her out. I ran up the closest stairway and sped down the hall. I made it to my office, the door swung open as I rushed in. I went over to the glass cabinet and grabbed my drum gun. I reloaded it, the clicking noise gave me a great feeling.
"This should be fun." I sighed, heading back out to the fight.

When I got back, bodies were everywhere. Not civilians thank god, but GHOST and SHADOW henchmen Kay on the floor. Blood was everywhere, not a pretty sight on the white uniforms. One of the men noticed me and starting shooting. I took the corner beside me and started firing at the man. He instantly dropped, my gun smoking. I made my way out to the middle of the room to meet up with everyone.
"What did I miss?" I asked casually.
"You didn't miss the fun, that's for sure." Skye said, retooling her grappler.
"Is that so?" I asked.
"Yeah, 'cause it's right there." Tina pointed to the roof where my brother and
Y/N stood, aiming rifles at us.
"Stairs. Grappler." I said painting to each of the agents. Y/N began shooting down at us. Skye took her grappler to the top, while the rest of us dashed up the stairs to the roof.

3rd person POV

Skye swung up to the top, punching Y/N in the face, knocking her back. She grappled SHADOW Midas in the face sending him down onto one of the floors of the large building. Y/N charged at Skye, throwing punches and kicks at her. Skye jumped on her shoulders and began elbowing her, trying to knock her out.
"Don't kill her!" Midas yelled, making sure she didn't break her neck. Skye nodded, but was thrown of by Y/N. Midas and the rest of the agents surrounded Y/N, she was out numbered.
"Y/N, stop this isn't you." GHOST Midas shouted, she only stared at me.
"You're a fool brother, she won't listen to you." Midas scoffed and laughed. He was bleeding and had crawled up to the roof to meet them all .
"Now you are going to let me and my rose go, or there will be consequences." He said, walking to her. Midas heard the sound of a chopper behind him. He looked over his shoulder to see to henchmen with minigun's.
"Shit." Midas murmured. Y/N shot at Brutus, hitting his arm. He groaned and held were the bullet had entered. Skye and Tina ran at Y/N trying to pin her down. The henchmen from the chopper started raining bullets down on the fight. Midas had lost sight of his evil twin while avoiding the lead shower that fell towards them. Y/N had swung her elbow to Skye's face, leaving a mark. Tina flipped around on her trying to throw her down. Midas aimed his drum gun at the men in the flying vehicle and he pierced them both, killing them instantly. The bodies fell out of the helicopter, hitting the ground with a thud. Tina and
Y/N were at each others throats. Y/N took some shots at her, but Skye pulled her gun away. Midas saw from the corner of his eye, Tina grasper slipped, for one second. His mind went into slow motion, he knew what was going to happen. Skye got knocked to the ground by Y/N kicking her shin. Tina didn't get first grip on Y/N's hand canon and her balance in her hand faulted.

BANG!

The guns sound rang through Y/N's mind. She dropped the weapon, her face growing expression. Midas stood there his mouth opened slightly, he backed up a bit. Y/N's eyes started to flood with streams of tears. She quivered and consoled to the roofs floor, as she looked at the face of her murdered best friend...
