Down the rabbit hole I go.
Down into the darkness I fall.
How far down does it go?
Faster and faster I fall.
Till my body hits the ground.
Down the rabbit hole I go.
Into my wonderland of madness.
All around me are roses painted red.
Painted not with paint but with blood.
Who's blood I dare not ask.
Could be my own, could be my demons.
Down the rabbit hole I go.
I continue to walk around my wonderland of madness.
I see the Cheshire Cat up in a tree.
He smiles sinister at me.
"We're all mad here" he tells me in a soothing voice.
I watched as he disappears leavening only his smile for a brief moment.
Down the rabbit hole I go.
Joining the Hatter and the Hare for a cup of tea.
They dance around singing their nonsense tune.
Tea time this, unbirthday that.
Oh how this bores me, I never liked tea party's.
Down the rabbit hole I go.
Meeting the queen of hearts for a game of croquet.
"Off with their heads" she screams loudly.
Why she does? I do not know.
I've had enough of it all.
Down the rabbit hole I go.
I sit upon her thrown, a wicked smile on my face.
We're all mad here, is what that darn cat said.
Oh, how right he was.
For I am mad, very, very mad.
You could say as mad as a Hatter.
I pick up his hat and place it on top of my head.
Down the rabbit hole I go.
Into my wonderland of madness.
Where I am the queen of the mad and broken.
Will you come down the rabbit hole with me?
And join in my wonderland of madness?
A/N not really as dark as some of my other poems, but I had moment of inspiration so why not.
