1. What inspired you to write your book Tacenda?

The thing that inspired me to write Tacenda is the people all around the school. It's like everyone has a personal problem, small or big,but some would just rather be silent. But one of the major problems in our school is the LGBTQ+ students having to keep a silent voice. I wanted to be their voice by writing this book.

2. How many books have you written, including the ones you have not completed?

Probably around the numbers of 3 and 5. Because I prefer to write more drabbles and oneshots.

3. What inspired/inspires you to write?

What destroys my frequent writer's block is the people who read my book. Just thinking of somebody reading something I wrote makes me determined enough to take a pen and start writing.

4. What was the first thing that drove you to start writing?

What drove me to start writing is my own vivid imagination. While watching a movie,or even just by reading a book,I sometimes ponder on what would've happen if this happened,or that happened instead of that.

5. Do you get writer's block frequently? If so,what do you do to combat it?

Always. I often listen to music that matches the mood I'm trying to write on. For example,if I'm writing for a sad scene,I often listen to down-beat music. But sometimes I like to listen to the ones without lyrics, because it often distracts me.

6. How long have you been writing?

3 and a half years.

7. What was the name of your first work?

'I Can Hear Your Voice'.
It was a dump of misspelled words and uninspired writing. My one story that I would much rather forget.

8. At what time are you usually more productive? Why so?

I think I'm more productive at the night time. The surroundings are usually quiet, making it easy to think and focus on my writing.

9. What are your hobbies, besides writing? Why are they so?

Other than writing,I don't think I have a lot of hobbies. Although I do spend most of my time playing the guitar,at least attempting to learn it. But most of the time you can see me watching movies in my couch.

10. Do you find writing to be something you would pursue as a career,or only as a hobby?

I'm not sure about that thought yet, but what I have in mind is nowhere near of making it my career. It just seems way too big to think of at the moment. So currently,I see it as another hobby of mine.

11. What is the inspiration behind the title of your Tacenda book?

Like I said before,I wanted to be the voice of the troubled people in my school. The first thing that came to my mind was the word silence. The meaning of silence and tacenda is awfully similar. Tacenda, things not to be mentioned or made public. I thought of it as a word that was quite uncommon, but definitely a perfect match.

12. What do you like the most about writing? Why do you like it?

I like how you can create characters and stay with them through their journey until the story reaches it's end. It's like you know them personally and can empathize with their pain.

13. What, according to you,are the disadvantages of writing? (If,according to you, there are any)?

The fact that I can't read my books without knowing what will happen next. It's like a curse,to me at least.

14. What dynamic advice would you give to other authors?

Keep writing, keep practicing. Even I was skeptical of this commonly given advice, but I just kept writing in every time that I can or have time. Even if it isn't a book,or maybe even just a short drabble. Start by writing down scenarios you can think of,and slowly make your way up.

15. Do you have any thoughts, any comments you wish to say upon winning in the Ace Awards?

I would like to thank everybody! I would have never done this without you. This is my first time entering the awards so I doubt I would win a place, but I was shocked when I first saw the results. Once again,I would like to thank everyone. Much Love!
