1. What do you, as the writer of your works, like about your book (placed) the most?1. My inspiration of the title of my book comes from same experience I went through with having strong feelings for my best friend as well. The time I came up with the idea of this book, I was also going through the same situation so I thought "why not turn my suffering into art?" Lmao.
6. Are there any Wattpad authors who inspired you to write? If so, list their pseudonyms.
6. Yes! When I first started out on Wattpad, I was 12 years old and had been introduced to a little thing known as fan fiction. Some my first fanfics I read were Adventure Time fanfics and Kellic fanfics. There was an author that wrote in my opinion brilliant fanfics and her name was "thekellicunderthevic". They were a big inspiration and influence on my writing and it motivated me to start writing some fan fiction of my own before moving on to my own original stories.
8. How long have you been writing?
8. I have been writing since I was 12 years old when my sister first introduced me to Wattpad. I had always been a big fan of reading so I figured I'd give a crack at writing something of my own. I use to write my stories on copy paper before she told me there was a website/ app that I could do all my writing on there, which i was obviously excited about.
16. What do you like the most about writing? Why do you like it?
16. The thing I like the most about writing is how easy you can get taken into a whole new world you created yourself. It's amazing how you make up these worlds and stories and characters and they all came from your active imagination. They are yours, and that's what makes it so special.
23. Do the protagonists in your book reflect upon you to some extent, or are they the protagonists you would like to be?
23. In a way, the protagonists are me and who I always wanted to be at the same time. The character Kyrie I would say is close to how I act in real life, while the characters P. J. and Lucas are who I strive to be.
10. What was the name of your first work?
10. The name of my first work was actually a story I had put up for only a week, it was called "BOY-friending the Enemy". It was very all over the place, and even as a beginner writer I knew that. However, I would like to revise it one day and make it better.
12. What dynamic advice would you give to other authors?
12. Some advice I would give to other authors is to keep writing! I know as writers we have that occasional dose of writers block, or we have those pesky negative thoughts that we're not good enough and are writing is bad. But that is never ever the case. As writers, we grow every time we put words on a page. You can't grow if you don't write, so keep it up and you'll see progress I guarantee you.
20. What are your hobbies, besides writing? Why are they so?
20. My hobbies besides writing are watching anime on the daily and acting! I actually wish to be an actress and a novelist when I grow up, since these two things are something I'm extremely passionate about.
9. Does your writing reflect your own thoughts intimately, or are you detached to some extent?
9. Half of the time my writing do reflect my own thoughts to give some sort of realism to my story and charterers.
7. Do you get writer's block frequently? If so, what do you do to combat it?
7. I definitely get writers block frequently. I usually try to fight this by reading other authors works or even watching movies. I also watch this fantastic YouTube video by KickthePj called "The Writers Block". This is a unique and accurate representation of how writers block really is and it really motivates me to pick up that pen and get to work.
13. At what time are you usually more productive? Why so?
13. I'm usually more productive in mid afternoon- late at night. I don't know why but that's where all my creative juices start flowing.
22. Do you find writing to be something you would pursue as a career, or only as a hobby?
22. Writing is definitely something I want to pursue as a career. It's one out of the two things I'm extremely passionate about.
14. What would you like to say to your readers as a token of appreciation for reading your book?
14. I would like to say thank you for taking the time to read my world full of words and nonsense, it really means a lot c:
17. Are there any books that you've read, that have impacted your writing? If so, how have they influenced your writing?
17. Some books that have impacted my writing are any John Green novel, "Among The Hidden" by Margret Peterson Haddix, "Divergent Series" by Veronica Roth, and "The Lunar Chronicles" by Marissa Meyer, and "The Mortal Instruments Series" by Casandra Clare. They have influenced my writing a ton because they are books/series I have read over ten times and hold a very special place in my heart.
11. Do you have any thoughts, any comments you wish to say upon winning in the Ace Awards?
11. I just want to say thank you so much for picking my story. As a person who always has self doubts about my work, this gives me the confidence to keep going, and as should all of you who suffers from the same doubts as me.
