1. What do you, as the writer of your works, like about your book the most?I'm an avid reader myself, and watcher, my favourite genres being fantasy, paranormal, supernatural and romance so I wanted to take all that I love and write my own version, and create my own world.
2. What inspired you to write your book?
I wanted to create something that people like me can fall in love with.
3. How many books have you written, including the ones you have not completed?
I've finished two Teen Wolf fan fiction books, started many others and have finished one original book with angels and demons.
4. What inspires you to write?
I love getting lost in a good book, movie or T.V show. I love creating even more.
5. What was the first thing that drove you to start writing?
My best friend had started writing scripts for class during high school, it got me interested and I started writing my own. That's when I realised how much I enjoyed writing.
7. Do you get writer's block frequently? If so, what do you do to combat it?
For me, I turn my focus onto something else, maybe a good book, movie or T.V show, usually though I find gaming the best way to recharge.
8. How long have you been writing?
Since I was 16 years old, and I turned 30 in March.
9. Does your writing reflect your own thoughts intimately, or are you detached to some extent?
With my story Awoken even though it is based in a fantasy world there are other elements that are very personal to me.
11. Do you have any thoughts, any comments you wish to say upon winning in the Ace Awards?
I want to say how grateful I am. It means a lot to me to know that someone(s) enjoyed my work. It's hard not to doubt yourself when your work isn't getting any recognition apart from read for reads. It's a real pick me up.
13. At what time are you usually more productive? Why so?
I don't know why but for me it's the afternoon and night, sometimes very late into the early morning.
14. What would you like to say to your readers as a token of appreciation for reading your book?
Thank you so much. It means so much to me.
16. What do you like the most about writing? Why do you like it?
I like breathing life into characters that are flawed and relatable. I like the challenge.
17. Are there any books that you've read, that have impacted your writing? If so, how have they influenced your writing?
Every book I've read has impacted my writing somehow. Each one a teaching experience about points of view, tense, and character development amongst others.
18. What, according to you, are the disadvantages of writing?
The biggest disadvantage, especially when writing in the fantasy genre is trying to be as unique as possible. There are so many stories out there, nearly everything has been done already.
19. Do you have anything to say to motivate your readers who wish to become an author like you?
I know it's been said a million times but don't give up, keep learning, and better yourself.
20. What are your hobbies, besides writing? Why are they so?
I love reading, watching T.V and movies and gaming. They all transport you to a new world.
21. What is the inspiration behind the title of your book?
It's about her journey, about embracing her magic and awakening to what can be a new life.
22. Do you find writing to be something you would pursue as a career, or only as a hobby?
I want to be a published writer, for writing to be a full-time job.
23. Do the protagonists in your book reflect upon you to some extent, or are they the protagonists you would like to be?
They are definitely the protagonists I would like to be.
