1. What do you, as the writer of your works, like about your book (placed) the most?As a beginning author, Scorned Love became my first novel to write. Even though I can see many things to improve on, what I love about most of this is the emerging plot line... And the plot that hasn't come up yet. Ha... I am more excited to see how the story plays out between characters.
2. What inspired/continues to inspire you to write?
Readers and continuous support through comments, votes, and review(Inkitt) inspired me to continue to write. Without them, I just thought this story will be a total flop. My first inspiration is from @Breann_Hill and @Yummychocochick. Their support for this book and my writing life adds wood to the fire that continues to grow.
3. How long have you been writing, and what was the first thing that drove you to start writing?
I have been writing since I was in 4th grade... But those start as a narrative essay about my substitute teacher or writing about my crushes in my diary. As I grow older, I have dreams about fantasy worlds that I tried to start writing about, but they didn't get developed as much. With @Breann_Hill, we started to roleplay her stories... and this Scorned Love! We developed the plot which is the same plot as it is right now. I just add and tweaked a bit. Honestly, some scenes were not in the roleplay. Breann was the one that drove me to start writing because of her work.
4. Do you get writer's block frequently? If so, what do you do to combat it?
Writer's block... Ha... More like laziness, really. I combat it by eating lots and lots of food! Just kidding. Well, that is one of the ways. Sometimes, I just take a shower and let my thoughts wander and internalize my characters. Sometimes I listen to songs that encompass the scene and try to perfect the scene's emotions. *Shrug* :D
5. What advice would you give to other aspiring authors?
NEVER GIVE UP! Everyone starts from somewhere. Take the first step and let the chapter go! If any people criticize your story, accept it with grace. Then, think would you need that advice/critical suggestion. Just continue to improve your story and never give up on it!
6. Does your writing reflect your thoughts intimately or are you detached to some extent?
All my characters have a part of me and my personality. I attach myself to my story forcefully. Honestly, I believe my characters get frustrated with me for putting them in such a hard time XD. Some of the scenes though, I grabbed them from what I see and experience in life. Some from relatives, some from strangers, some from my crazy dark imagination! :D
7. What are your hobbies, besides writing? Why are they so?
I love singing pop and broadway songs. I am more of an indoor person so, I mostly sing and read books. On the other hand, I like to do TikToks with my cousin if that counts as a hobby. The perfect introverted extrovert right here!
