I'm so sorry for the late update... but hey, here's 3 chapters for y'all!

Patton sighed. How did things go wrong in such a short period of time? He sighed, covering his face with his hands. He heard a knock on the door.

"Come in." Patton said, barely audible. Logan peaked his head into the room.

"Hey, sorry back there. I tried to stop them." Logan sighed.

"This day was going so well." Patton whispered. Logan sat next to Patton on the bed. "You came back and you were safe. We were making a plan and then..." Patton trailed off. Logan shushed Patton and hugged him. They stayed there for a second.

"I thought I lost you, Logan. I was so scared you wouldn't come back." Patton mewled.

"I'm sorry about the things I said, Patton. You didn't deserve it. I was just so angry at myself."

"Everyone does." Patton whispered. They were quiet once more.

"I saw the letter. I know I probably shouldn't have seen it. Did you mean everything you said? Tell me the truth. Don't worry about our friendship." Patton looked up at Logan.

"Of course I did. Patton, have I ever lied to you before?" Logan asked him.

"I know. I just wanted you to know that I...feel the same way." Patton hesitated. Logan seemed shocked for a second.

"You...do?" Logan said.

"Of course! You're so nice and smart and-" Patton was cut off by Logan's lips meeting his. Logan put one hand on Patton's face ever so gently. It took a second for Patton to understand what was happening. Is this really happening? Is...Is he kissing me?! Patton thought. He forgot what happened between him and the rest of the group. All he cared about was Logan. They both pulled away and stared at each other for a while, a blush forming on Patton's cheeks.

"Where did you try to find Deceit?" Patton asked, breaking the silence.

"Oh, I looked throughout the city," Logan answered.

"Do you have any ideas of where he might be?"

"None. Though he might be out of state? That might be a reasonable theory as to why we can't find him."

"You might be right. But that still doesn't narrow down where he could be."

"That's true. However, it is better than nothing."

"You're right. Again." Patton smiled and leaned into Logan, putting his head on Logan's shoulder.

Wait- something wasn't right. Patton saw a faint glimmer around Logan's body.

"Logan?" Patton asked, suddenly afraid. "What's the light around you? You're glowing."

"What do you mean, Patton?" Logan responded, calm as ever.

"You're..." Patton pointed.

Logan looked down at his hand and grinned. "Oh, I guess I am. I'm sorry you had to get caught in this, Patton."

The light suddenly grew stronger, and in a flash, Logan wasn't sitting next to him anymore.

In his place sat Deceit. Patton realized that he had kissed the very person that caused him so much pain.

"You- you! What did you do with Logan!?" Patton shouted, enraged and disgusted.

"I've always been Logan. There isn't a Logan and Deceit. We are the same person, and there has never been a real Logan. It's always been me."

"But I saw two of you when-"

"A simple illusion. It was so easy to fool you and those other idiots you call friends," Deceit smirked.

"I can't believe you kissed me!" Patton exclaimed with a look of disgust on his face. "Were you lying again when you said the feelings were real!?"

"Patton, my name is Deceit. It's what I do. I had to sell the part, didn't I?"

Before Patton could shout out for Roman or Virgil or anyone, Deceit raised a fist and hit Patton on the head, Patton seeing black spots dancing across his vision a split second before he hit the ground.

Patton heard only one thing before everything went dark: Deceit saying, "Remus, I need you to make him forget. We need to go to plan B. You know, because this one worked just perfectly."
