(Ryo's POV)
"I hope you don't mind, Mr. Bianchi." Boss said.
"Not at all. I am not one ruin another man's fun."
Boss smiled and laughed.
Everyone knows how loyal Bianchi men are to their woman. But some of the men that work for him are another story. That being said, Boss took Bianchi and his men out to the strip club that Boss owns to celebrate their deal going through.
Bianchi and his son sat across from Boss while the dancers danced for his men as well as Boss and our men.
Me?
I'm sure you can guess what I was doing.
"He ever lighten up?" I heard Bianchi ask.
"About as much as you, if not less if that's possible." Boss answered.
"What is his job for you exactly?"
"Ryu Takahashi, on the books, is our law advisor."
"A lawyer? Your lawyer?"
"You ever seen that show Suits? That guy remembers everything he reads. He read the law book once and understood everything?"
"My wife enjoys watching it every now and then." Bianchi said.
"That's Takahashi. Remembers everything. That's his curse."
I watched Bianchi through the reflection in the window. After Boss's words, he looked over at me. Studying me.
"That's what Mr. Takahashi does. What about Akuma? What does he do for you?"
Before Boss could answer there was a loud pop followed by screams. At that moment three men rushed inside with guns drawn.
By the time Kana got Boss down and the Bianchi men got their guns out, I had my knife stuck in the third man's neck. I pulled my knife out and kicked the man to the side where his two friends were already laying in a pool of blood.
I leaned down and wiped my blade off on the guys shirt before going back to my spot by the window.
Boss started laughing as he took his seat again. He barked orders at some guys to check the perimeter and clean up the mess.
"Mr. Bianchi, that is what Akuma does for me. He had those men down before you could pull your weapon. Trained in Taekwondo, Jujutsu, Judo, Kendo, and many other martial arts, he is a force to be reckoned with. Faster than anyone I've ever met, more skilled too."
"You got anyone else like him?"
"No, he is one of a kind. My warrior. My...Akuma."
"It's be a big blow to you if you lost him, wouldn't it?"
"It would." Boss said. I could tell he was getting suspicious of Bianchi's questioning. "May I be honest, Mr. Bianchi? Brutally honest?"
"At your own risk." Bianchi said.
"I would like to know why you're so interested in Mr. Takahashi. Why you keep asking so many questions about him. Even during our talk about business, you brought him up several times."
"He...intrigues me."
"Intrigues you? That's it?"
"彼が私に何を望んでいるか尋ねてください. なぜ彼は私を連れて行きたいのか." I spoke up from my position by the window. I knew Bianchi could understand me. Boss didn't though.
(Ask what he wants with me. Why he wants to take me with him.)"何?ばかげてはいけません." Boss said.
(What? Don't be ridiculous.)"彼に尋ねる."
(Ask him.)"Mr. Bianchi, you wouldn't happen to want to take him with you, would you?" Boss asked.
Bianchi leaned back in his seat.
"I could use a man like him on my side."
"Mr. Bianchi, your men are some of the finest in the world. Why would you want Mr. Takahashi?"
"You said it yourself. He's highly trained, skilled, and moves faster than me or my men."
"I can't just let him go." Boss said as Kana's phone rang.
He excused him to take the call after seeing who was calling. He came back in with urgency on his face.
"上司、それは女の子です。彼女はニューヨークの玄関口に現れた. 法政は一時間前に彼女と一緒に飛んだ."
(Boss, it's the girl. She showed up on the doorstep in New York. Hosei flew in with her a hour ago.)Boss instantly looked at me because he knew what I was going to do.
"Ryu, no." Boss ordered, but I was already out the door. "Catch him." I heard him order.
It was no use. I was already gone.
I got to the safe house in record time. Hosei didn't even see me until it was to late and I was already inside.
"Ryu, don't." Hosei said, stepping in front of me.
"I need to see her."
"You don't."
"Hosei, I'm not going to tell you twice." I growled.
"Doc is working on her. She's in real bad shape. Wait. Give him an hour." He said as Boss came rushing in.
Bianchi and the others where behind him.
"なぜ彼はここにいるのですか?" Hosei asked motioning towards Bianchi.
(Why is he here?)"それはそれが彼のビジネスであることを意味する彼の街で起こったと述べました." Boss answered.
(Said it happened in his city which means it is his business.)I shoved Hosei out of my personal space and pointed my finger at him. "One hour. After that, if you try to stop me, I will sink my knife into you. Understand?"
He nodded.
I pushed past him and started down the hall. Everyone in the main room could still see me as I sunk down on the floor across from the bedroom door.
My next hour was spent sitting in the floor with an unlit cigarette in my mouth. Hosei, Kana, Boss and everyone else sat in the main room and spoke quietly.
"Who is it? The one he's waiting to see?" I heard Valentine ask softly. I almost didn't hear it.
"Someone we've been looking for a while now. Someone we didn't think we'd ever see again." Kana said.
"You have your wife, Mr. Bianchi. She's the reason you are Il Diavolo. She brings out the dangerous side of you."
"She does." He agreed.
"You're aware of the fact that Takashi and Akuma are different. The same person, but different. Almost like two personalities. What you've failed to realize is that he's been Akuma this whole time."
"What's that got to do with the person in that room?"
"The person in that room is the only person I have met that...keeps him in check. She's like his medicine. She keeps the demon at bay."
