二十四 (Twenty-Four)

(Ryu's POV)

I looked over  towards the corner but Vince was gone. His men were too. I then looked back at the man that I made a deal with.

"You said you'd give me answers. You didn't say I was blacklisted."

"No, I said I'd let you ask me anything. I didn't say that I'd answer."

"You need to leave." Tanaka said, putting a hand on my shoulder.

I pushed his arm off me and started towards the door. I was right at the door when I stopped. A man nearby had a pen that he was writing with and I quickly snatched it from his hand. I turned just enough to see the man I made the deal with and I threw the pen. It landed right in his throat.

Tanaka jumped up from his seat and turned, but I was already moving up the stairs. I got out of the building just as Tanaka and some other men were coming after me.

I hailed a taxi and gave him directions on where I wanted to go. He dropped me off about a mile out and I walked the rest.

I looked around and scoffed. "This is what you call security?"

Within five minutes I was walking through one of the big rooms. I entered into another room and heard a scream.

"Holy crap! Where the hell did you come from?" Juliet asked. She was standing in the kitchen by the counter.

"Where is he?"

"Downstairs. But he's not alone." She said, pointing down the hallway.

"Thanks."

"Ryu," she said making me stop.

I slightly turned my head back towards her.

"Don't kill him. Please."

The door to their basement was the last door at the end of the hallway. I pulled it opened and and started down.

I found Vince and his me in a large conference like room. Vince and Valentine both stood up when they saw me.

"How did you get in here?" Valentine asked.

"Your security is a f*cking joke."

"Impossible. How'd you get past Phoenix?"

"Your mean your ghost? Wasn't that hard."

"What do you want?" Vince asked.

"You know what I f*cking want." I growled.

The tone in my voice caused his men to tense up and reach for their weapons.

"Don't bother." I hissed at them.

"Juliet. Did you harm her?" Vince asked.

I rolled my eyes. "Have your men go check."

He motioned for two of his men to go upstairs and check. A minute later they came back.

"She's all good, Boss." One man said.

Vince visible relaxed a little bit after hearing that. "Good. I'd hate to have to kill you." He said looking at me.

"No, you wouldn't. You proved that with twenty million. Thought it's not like you could even if you tried."
