三十七 (Thirty-Seven)

(Ryu's POV)

"Hold still."

"I am."

"No, you're moving."

"For f*cks sake." I sighed.

"Watch it."

I was laying on the bed with Aria sitting on her knees beside me. I had made it about two steps out of the bathroom after my shower before she forced me to lay down on the bed.

She wanted to look at and check my wounds. I knew that they worried her, so I let her do as she pleased. I laid still as she gently poked at my bruises to see which ones still hurt. I didn't move or flinch so she assumed that they weren't that bad.

"Don't move." She said, suddenly getting up and going to get the first-aid kit.

I put one arm behind my head as I waited for her to come back. She laid the kit beside her as she opened it and pulled out some gauze, ointment, tape, and bandages.

"They're fine, Koneko."

She ignored me and continued working. I watched as she bit her lip as she cut some tape off and placed gauze over the wound I stitched. She used the normal bandages for the rest of my wounds.

She was almost finished when the sensors went off and someone pounded on the door. I quickly got up, grabbed a knife, and moved towards the door.

"Ryu, you're in a towel." Aria whispered shouted at me.

"So? I'm not shy."

"It's just us!" Vince yelled.

"For f*cks sake." I said opening the door. "How many more times you going to come over here?"

"Depends on how long you're still going to be here. Besides, it wasn't my idea this time. It was my wife's." Vince said walking in with Juliet behind him.

"I brought you some things." Juliet smiled holding up a few boxes of baked goods.

"You can put them on the table." I said.

That was when Vince noticed that I was only in a towel.

"Did we interrupt something?" Vince asked.

I said not really at the same time Aria said yes.

"Would you like to take a minute to get dressed?" Vince asked.

Aria said yes at the same time that I said I was fine. I sat down on the couch as grinned in amusement as Aria ran to grab the first-aid kit off the bed. She pushed me so that I leaned back against the couch and she could reach my wounds better.

"We interrupted Aria play doctor." Vince said with a smirk.

"Yeah." I said, putting my hands behind my head.

Vince took a seat on the loveseat across from me and Juliet sat down beside him.

Aria wasn't happy until every visible would had ointment and a bandage on it and then she was finished.

"All done." She said sitting back and smiling at me. It was her million watt smile, so I had choice but to return it with a smile of my own.

She returned the kit to the bathroom before going over to see what Juliet had brought.

"I made some chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, brownies, mini apple pies, and a few other things." Juliet said.

Aria grabbed one of everything before coming to sit beside me. Knowing I'm not a big fan of sweets, she didn't bother offering me a bite.
