A/N:

It's 5:00 am here.....

You're welcome.

(Aria's POV)

"On a scale of one to ten, how bad do I look?" I asked, still sitting in the bathtub.

"Negative six."

"I'm serious, Ryu." I said.

"How do you think you look?"

"Like roadkill."

"Doc said it'd take a while for you to heal."

"Obviously."

He gave my hair a tug. Probably for my sass.

When I finally felt clean enough, Ryu carried me from the bathtub to the bed where he spent the next few minutes brushing my hair. The only thing I had on was the towel wrapped around me.

"Are there any clothes for me?" I asked.

"I can go get you some. Until then, wear this." He said standing up and taking off his shirt.

Saying Ryu was handsome wasn't accurate. He was
almost overwhelming to look at. Especially shirtless..... or completely naked. He was truly staggering and...kind of haunting.

Yakuza men don't have their tattoos placed where they can be seen with clothes on. They have them hidden. Ryu on the other hand has a few that are visible, but only if he dresses a certain way or has his hair fixed differently.

His back is mainly covered with a black dragon and a red/orange chrysanthemum flowers. His right arm and pectoral is the home of black koi fish surrounded by water with dashes/streaks of cobalt blue throughout and it extends down past his wrist.
His left arm and pectoral is the home of a fiery red and black Phoenix. His left leg and hip is the home of a samurai surrounded by peony flowers. His dragon/chrysanthemum tattoo and his black koi fish/water tattoo are the two that extend to his neck.

I slipped on his shirt as he fixed his own hair. His hair is jet black and ends at his shoulders. He usually keeps it up.

"Are you hungry? Thirsty?" He asked.

"More thirsty than hungry." I admitted.

He nodded. "I'll be back."

"I'll be here." I said as he kissed my forehead.

I watched his back until I could no longer see him and then I carefully made my way to the mirror. A tear rolled down my cheek when I saw my reflection.

At that moment, I didn't know how Ryu could stand to look at me. I truly did look like roadkill.

I allowed myself a minute to cry for what happened to me. One minute, nothing more. They weren't worth it. The people who hurt me weren't worth the thought. They didn't deserve my tears. Straightening my spine, I wiped my tears away and smiled. I was a survivor of their torture and torment.

I would not be defeated. Not with Akuma on my side.

(Ryo's POV)

I walked out of the bedroom towards the kitchen. That's where everyone was gathered. I walked in without caring about not wearing a shirt and started getting Aria some food.
