(Aria's POV)

Ryu played out Nakamura's death for an additional thirty minutes. Within that time he stabbed him six more times and strangled him to the brink of unconsciousness four more times.

None of that killed him though. What killed him was Ryu beating him in the face over and over and over again until his face was practically caved in and he was unrecognizable.

To make sure he was dead, Ryu took the knife and buried it in Nakamura's badly beaten face.

He stood up, covered in ever more blood than before, and stepped away from the body. His body was still shaking with anger. It was practically coming off of him in waves.

Without thinking or hesitating, I ran and jumped on him. I wrapped my arms around him and started crying with my face pressed against his neck. He didn't do anything for the first several seconds, but then he wrapped his arms around me.

"私はとても怖かったです." I cried.
(I was so scared.)

That's when he started firing off apology after apology. He said them so that only I could hear. He apologized for leaving. Apologize for getting hurt. Apologized for losing himself mentally. He apologized for everything he could think of.

I pulled back and used my hands to push his hair out of his bloody face. His eyes still looked black, so I knew he wasn't fully back to being Ryu.

"None of this was your fault." I told him.

"It was though," he said. "Because of who I am, what I am, what I can do. That's all this was about."

He look angry and sad at the same time. It was heartbreaking.

"This was their fault. His fault." I said pointing at Nakamura's body. "He did this. Tanaka did this. You were just a victim. I was a victim. You understand me?"

He didn't answer me. He didn't answer me because he didn't want to lie to me.

He didn't understand me. He blamed himself and would continue to blame himself until he work through in his head. Until he had the time and energy to think it through logically. Right now he was just running on adrenaline.

Instead of saying anything he started looking at my head where I was pistol whipped.

"You need to see a doctor." He murmured.

"So do you."

He looked down at himself and shrugged. "I'll be fine. You may have a concussion."

"Ryu, you need to see a doctor. Please."

The tears in my eyes were enough to get him to agree.

"I have a doctor than can come here." Vince said from behind us. "He can be here in ten minutes or less."

"Thank you." I said as he pulled out his phone.

The doctor arrived within ten minutes and wanted to attend to Ryu first. Being as stubborn as he is, he said he would stab the doctor if he didn't treat me first. That didn't give the man much of an option.

He patched me up before he made Ryu sit and started examining him.

"I can't see anything because of all this blood." The doctor said before turning to me. "Can you get me some wet washcloths?"

I nodded and ran to the bathroom. I got him six wet washcloths and one normal towel.

I took them back to him and he reached up to start wiping some of the blood away but Ryu grabbed his wrist. The look in his eyes told me everything I needed to know.
