You Find A Ring (Ash)

Once soundcheck starts, you and Crystal decide to head back to the dressing rooms to wait for the boys. The two of you repost some fan videos and watch an episode of a show you both love while the boys interact with the fans during soundcheck. 

"I'll be back, I wanna change out of this," You motion to the long sleeve you had shown up in that morning. It was getting rather warm in the venue and you had planned ahead by shoving one of Ashton's old shirts in his bag before you two left. 

Crystal waves to you as you wander back to where Ashton had left his bag. You find it tucked under one of the food tables backstage. "Gosh, we really need to go through this stuff together," you mumble as you crouch on the floor and dig for your shirt. "Aha!" You find what you're looking for and yank it out. When you do, a small box falls to your side. 

You pick up the small, black box and open it. Inside there's a ring. A shiny diamond stares back at you. "Oh, oh my god." You quickly close the box and shove it back into his bag. You clutch the shirt in your hands, kick the bag back under the table, and run back to the dressing room. 

"Woah, hey, are you okay?" Crystal stands up when you run back into the dressing room, looking slightly distressed. 

"I found a ring." 

"A... ring?" She raises an eyebrow at you. "Where?" 

"In Ashton's bag." Your heart feels like its about to burst out of your chest. "A diamond ring. In Ashton's bag." 

Crystal's eyes go wide. "Oh my god, when you do think he's gonna do it? You have to act surprised!" She grabs you by the shoulders and pulls you into a hug. "This is so exciting!" 

You gently hug her back. "I-i'm gonna say yes." You can feel your hands start to shake. 

The dressing room door bursts open and suddenly the boys are coming back in, laughing over a joke one of the fans had told them. Ashton presses a kiss to your cheek before going to grab a bottle of water from the fridge. "What's going on here, ladies?" 

"Not much," Crystal giggles as Michael hugs her from behind. "Just excited for the show tonight!"

It's not until the boys take a break between songs that Ashton mentions you. He tells fans that you're here tonight, which results in a lot of excited screams from the crowd. The other boys have made themselves small, wandering off to the side of the stage so Ashton can have his moment. 

It's not until he steps out from behind his drum kit that fans start going absolutely wild. You find yourself wandering on stage after Calum comes to collect you, and Ashton is already on his knee. The diamond ring you saw earlier is in his hands. 

It feels like the two of you are alone when you meet his eyes. The same boy you had fallen in love with all those years ago is still there. You can barely even register the question that comes out of his mouth but you know you want to say yes. Ashton slips the ring on your finger and you find yourself crying and jumping into his arms while the venue erupts in screams. 

The boys are screaming and huddled around the two of you after a moment, which makes you laugh through the tears. You couldn't be happier.
