Chapter 48: Going down under! (Australia)

Narrator's POV

'Deep breaths... Deep breaths...' (y/n) thought as she tried to sort out her thoughts that swam in her mind. Taking deep breaths, the female thought about who she wanted as her guard. Nerves jittering, she tried to stay calm but, it wasn't working. Although she knew who she wanted as her guard, (y/n) was worried her nerves would get in the way of her thoughts. Shaking her head, the female knew what she had to do. "I would like..."

Pausing to take a breath, (y/n) knew she was doing well. It's almost done... She just needed to say the name of the country she wanted to have as her guard. Looking back up, the girl continued, "Australia." Hearing his name the country smiled and tackled (y/n) in a hug. Sighing in exhaustion, the female felt relieved that she had it done and over with...

(Time skip)  

Sitting on the backseat of the car, (y/n) and Australia were talking about who's sleeping where. America and Canada were sitting at the front of the car and New Zealand sat next to Australia. Everyone was talking in and everyone had a good mood. The only one not talking was Jade. He was silent the entire ride to America's house. (y/n) was concerned about her brother but didn't interrupt him as he looked like he was deep in thought.

Infact, Jade was deep in thought. He desperately wanted to tell two people what he thought but, they were long dead. 'I hope you're proud dad...' the male thought as he stared out the window. 'I finally found someone to protect (y/n) for the rest of her life... Now, I don't have to worry about her much longer...' Jade looked down at the crack on his forearm to find that it had grown even larger.

Sighing, the male stared out the window. He knew he had to tell (y/n) before he crumbles away... 'Soon...' he thought, 'Soon...' Little did he know, the opportunity will come earlier than expected...
