Chapter 46: Surprise Mothertruckers

(y/n)'s POV

It had been about a few days and I felt better but the nurses forbid me to move. Bored out of mind, I started studying the machines that were keeping track of my health. On one of the appliances, there was a green line that went up. The nurses called it a 'Heart Rate Monitor' or 'HRM' and I had 70 bpm or beats per minute. Then, there was a Electrocardiogram (EKG) and it was to record and look at the electric activities of my heart over a certain amount of time. It also monitors the overall rhythm of my heart and points out the certain abnormalities that happens.

A lot more machines could be seen but, I wasn't bothered looking at those. Sighing, I desperately wanted to stretch my legs and wings but I was 'supposedly' too weak. Looking out the window, I saw Jade talking to some Countryhumans and UN. I couldn't hear what they were talking about but, judging by the looks on their faces, it was probably very important. Surprisingly, they weren't talking in a meeting room but in a hospital lobby. 

Having enough, I swung my legs over to the other side of my hospital bed and pulled the needles and equipment out of my flesh. Wincing, I accidentally ripped some of my skin because I did it too fast. Getting a pair of surgical scissors, I cut two large holes in the back of my white hospital robe. Then, I turned my Shapeshifting off and found I cut the perfect hole to fit my wings in. As I walked towards the door, the only sound in the large empty room was the titter-tattering of my slippers.

I folded my wings onto my back again before walking out the door. As soon as I walked out the door, everyone's attention turned to me. Everyone was surprised to see me there and I was immediately bombarded with questions and suggestions. "Shut up. Can't you guys see (y/n)'s getting overwhelmed?" a familiar voice said. I looked up to see Jade with his arms crossed and a frown plastered on his face. Ignoring my brother, America asked, "Why are you up and walking! The nurses said you shouldn't be awake at all!" I laughed and stretched my arms and wings before replying, "I feel fine! Besides, I'm not an ordinary human!"

America's eyes widened before returning my smile and hugged me. Taken back, I blinked a couple of times in surprise before nervously laughing. Suddenly, I felt arms and looked up to see most of the Countryhumans hugging me. Looking behind the mass of bodies, I saw Jade with his arms crossed, smirking at me. Help me! I mouthed, pleading for my overprotective brother to save me from this suffocating hug. Sure, Jade saw me but didn't do anything. His eyes saying, nope, you completely deserve this for scaring me half to death. Suddenly, I felt a hand on my chin. America was trying to kiss me.

Sweating nervously, I tried pushing him away but I failed. I closed my eyes, worried about what will happen. Then, a sudden yelp made me reopen my eyes. Jade had pulled America by the collar before declaring, "Ok, that's going too far." 

(Time skip) 

After what happened, the nurses did a quick check up on me and proclaimed that it was fine for me to leave. I sighed in satisfaction before a question popped into my mind. "How long was I in a coma for?" Turning to face me, the nurse looked at me before saying, "You were in a coma for about a month." My eyes widened when I heard what she said. Then, the nurse continued to say, "Everyone thought you were either going to die or you had to wait another month or so to wake up." Thanking her, I changed into some new clothes Jade got me as the ones I had before were stained with blood. While I was changing, I thought, 'Why not lightly do my hair too?'. Tidying my hair a little, I looked in the mirror to see how I looked.

Walking out of what was my hospital room, I opened the door to see an unexpected guest. UN. The two of us didn't talk much since the the last meeting.  l looked at him with a questioning look before asking, "Is there something you need?" UN looked at me before replying something that made my blood turn cold.

"Al-Qaeda escaped."

"What!?!?" I said, my eyes widening. "How and do the others know about this?"

The organisation with white wings looked dead into my eyes and responded, "Al-Qaeda was going to be put in trial and sent to prison but, he knocked out the police officers and the countries guarding him. We got there before he could free his other acquaintances but he escaped. And, no, we haven't told anyone else yet. I told you this first as you may be the first person he would target." I nodded and proceeded to walk towards the countries. 

Clearing his throat, UN, started telling everyone what he just told me. When he finished, America was very pissed. "I thought you said you'd take care of this whole Al-Qaeda thing! Now he's escaped and he's going to try to take (y/n) again!" he yelled. Canada tried to calm him down but to no avail. Jade was surprisingly calm and just frowned and thought. "That is why," UN proceeded to say, "I thought about keeping (y/n) permanently in a country's house."

"Who is it?" China asked the organisation. 

"We can let (y/n) choose." UN responded. All eyes turned to me and Jade, making me a little bit nervous. "So your telling (y/n) to get a boyfriend?" my brother asked, making everyone blush. UN nodded in response. I bit my lip and asked Jade mentally, 'Hey, Jade, which country should I choose?'

'Whichever one you like. I will stay by your side either way, so, if they do anything fishy, I will find out and beat the shit out of them.' my brother replied in his mind. I nodded and tried to ignore the tension and stress of the stares.

<Left you guys on a cliffhanger there! So, you get to choose which country you want to stay with! I'll be making small scenarios of it! I will only be writing about the countries mentioned in the story. So, I won't be writing, '(y/n) decided live with Egypt' because I haven't written anything important about that country. Sorry if this annoys you, disappoints you or insults you. Anyways, this chapter was 1075 words long and, Neko-chan exits the room!>
