Chapter 14

Adrianna’s POV
“Adrianna, wake up.” I heard Aaron whisper into my ear. “I don’t want to. It’s early” I said without opening my eyes. I turned around in the bed away from him trying to sleep again. 
“I got a surprise for you.” 
“I hope it’s not one of your silly I mumbled. He laughed and I could sense him smiling. 
“Get dressed; it’s in the living room.” I opened my eyes and turned against him, his dreaming brown eyes looking back at me. How on earth could I get a man like this? 
“What is it?” 
“I don’t want to leave this bed.” 
“You have too, the surprise can’t wait for long.” He tucked a hair lock behind my ear. 
“Did you sleep well?” 
“Not really, she kept me awake for long.” His hand found my stomach under the duvet, his thumb kindly stroking it back and forward. “I love you. Both of you.”
I put my arms around his neck, kissing him and dragging him down to the bed. 
“No, she can’t wait for that long.” 
“Who? Our baby girl?” I looked at him questioning. 
“The surprise.” “I thought you had bought my something.” 
“Nope” he smiled a boyish smile and got out of the bed leaving me there with no knowledge about what was happening. He turned around in the door before leaving the room. “You’ll love it.”

I’ll love it. How can he be so sure of that and who was it? The mystery was killing me. I got out of the bed and walked over to the closet. I put on some pregnancy pants, god I hated them. They were so big. Only for you my baby girl. Only for you. I threw on a singlet which clearly showed my umbilical good. It was so ugly, pointing straight out.

I noticed the suitcase by the door as I walked across the hall and into the kitchen and Aaron was making some breakfast. He pointed at the living room as he saw me. The body felt heavy and I wanted to get my baby girl out now. I stumbled into the living room as my mouth dropped open when I saw who was sitting there sipping at a cup of tea. Camilla, it was my best friend and she was her in London.  I was overwhelmed by seeing her again started crying. “Please don’t cry.” 
“It’s the pregnancy hormones.” She got up from the sofa and hugged me. That’s when I noticed. My stomach bumped hers, she was pregnant. I backed away from her. “You got some explaining to do young lady.” She laughed and it was lovely seeing her smile again. We sat down on the sofa. 
“Actually you got a lot to tell me.” She grabbed the cup of tea. 
“I know I do.”
 Aaron coughed and I turned around to him. “Can I talk to you for a bit?”
 “I’ll be right back.” 
“It is okay, take the time you need A.”

“What’s going on?” he asked as I entered the hall. 
“I don’t know.”
“Have you been crying?” 
“I was so happy to see her.”
“Oh, okay.”
“Did she say anything when she got her this morning?”
“She told me that she wanted to see you.”
“Well, I’ll tell you everything later? Are you going somewhere?” I noticed he had put on his shoes. 
“I’m going to pick up the crib we bought last week. The one that you took ages to choose” he laughed. 
“Without me you wouldn’t have a crib and a good looking apartment like this” I said waving my arm around. 
“It looks great, but you don’t have to do it every week, do you?”
“I’m bored when you’re not home. I feel like a wag.”
“It’s just until you get back to school again.”
“Yeah, about that, I’m not going back.”
“What?”
“I’m having a baby, I can’t afford to go to school.”
“We’ll talk about this later” he said and grabbed his phone and the car keys. 
“You’re going?”
“Right now I don’t want to talk.”
“Aaron. Wait.”
“You’re doing it again. You’re talking about yourself and the baby like I’m not in the picture and that you don’t have money. Adrianna, you can have all my money as long as I have you.” I was stunned by what he had just said and didn’t know what to say. 
“We’ll talk about this later when you don’t have a visitor. You’re breakfast is in the kitchen” he said and left, leaving me alone in the hall.
