"We have to help him!" I shouted scrambling into my feet.
"You cannot!" He said. "Anira, you're not well. What is wrong?"
"I don't know?" I placed my head on his shoulder.
"Legolas, come!" Aragorn shouted
"I shall follow you, soon." Legolas replied. "We cannot leave Anira alone. Have you not heard what the Orc said?"
Aragorn hesitated but nodded and headed after the Orcs with Gimli trudging on by his side, wielding his axe.
I groaned. "Legolas, you have to go on. Boromir is in danger. Aragorn will need your help."
"I can not take that chance." Legolas said softly. "I heard the Orc, Anira. Saruman wants you. We can not leave you alone."
"I'm starting to sound needy and helpless."
Legolas sighed and looked down. "Anira, when did you acquire that wound?"
My eyebrows furred. "Wound? What-" My eyes traveled down to follow Legolas' gaze.
An arm wound. A rather long gash. A lot of blood. My mind traveled back to find the time I was cut in the arm by an Orc. I started to remember a stinging sensation on my arm. I clutched my arm and groaned.
"Well, isn't this just perfect?" I muttered
Legolas placed a hand on my waist. "Easy." He murmured. "Unfortunately, we do not have any methods to use to clean your wound."
"I have a bandage in my quiver." Gently, I removed my quiver and gave it to Legolas.
I rolled up my sleeve and he securely wrapped the bandage around the wound. The bleeding wouldn't stop right away but the pressure would restrain the flow of blood until the bleeding stopped completely.
"There." He breathed, finishing the knot that would hold the bandage in place. My eyes drifted up and I blinked to find how close my face was to Legolas.
For a moment neither of us spoke. I felt uneasiness settle deep within my stomach as I looked into his eyes, but I couldn't bring myself to look away. But I ended up breaking contact as I looked down at my feet. And then, I felt a sneeze build up within me. I fought hard to keep it back and scrunched my eyes, sneezing into my arms.
"Sorry." I said rubbing my nose. Legolas just smiled in good nature and offered a hand for me to take. I took it and allowed him to assist me to my feet.
"Come. We can not leave the others." He said quietly.
And without hesitation we ran off into the woods in the direction Aragorn and Gimli went. I was worried at first that we wouldn't be able to find the others and become lost as well. We soon were guided by a path of Orc bodies that littered the ground. After a while the bodies became more clustered and we were nearing the end.
Both Legolas and I came to a halt at the sight before us. Our attention was captured by Aragorn and Boromir. Aragorn leaned over Boromir. It was then I noticed three arrows that struck out of his chest.
My hand flew over my mouth and tears stung my eyes. I resisted the urge to fall to my knees though I couldn't stop the sob that escaped my lips.
No, no, no...not again.
A single tear escaped my eye and slipped down my cheek. Without thinking I ran to Boromir's side and knelt down before him.
"Boromir." I whispered, my voice breaking. My hands moved to hold his. They were cold.
He managed a smile at me. "Anira," he croaked "I'm sorry I doubted you."
My lips stretched into an understanding smile. "You had your reasons. I'm sorry." I breathed deeply.
