      Stiles’ uproarious laughter can heard all the way the Great Hall, and the screams of first years are still being heard. Scott tries to glare at him, but like always, he fails and ends up laughing right along with him. “Lydia is going to yell at us.” Scott says, and Stiles wraps his around his best friend’s shoulder with a bright smile.

“Like she did last year and the year before that.” Stiles says, and it sudden pang his heart. It is his and Scott’s last year at Hogwarts, and Stiles is going to miss everything about this school he had no idea even existed until a few months before he turned eleven.

“Stiles! Scott!” Lydia screeches, and Stiles and Scott rushes over to avoid the red haired beauty and her wrath. They laugh all the way into the Great Hall where they stride over to the Gryffindor house to take a seat at the long table with all the other Gryffindor’s.

“Hey, did you lads hear about the students coming here from Durmstrang?” Someone asks, and Stiles turns his attention towards them while Scott does the same. Stiles shakes his head, and suddenly everyone around them is paying attention. “Yeah, like they moved some sort of business down to England and I think that about five students are transferring here.” He says, and Stiles makes a humming noise of interest.

“Stiles, seriously? Every year with you and Scott scaring the first years. I will  use my power as prefect to report you and McCall to the headmaster.” Lydia complains, and Stiles scoots closer to Scott to make room for her. Lydia begrudgingly sits down beside him, and they wait for the first years to get sorted.

“Are they sorting the new students?” Scott asks, and Lydia nods. “Hopefully we’ll get one of them.” Scott comments, and Lydia snorts.

“Hopefully, but most Durmstrang students have the mindset of Slytherins.” Lydia says, and Stiles rolls his eyes. He was fidgeting in his seat while Scott talks with Lydia quietly, and that is when he sees the new students.

There are eight of them, and none of them look like that want to be here, standing with the first years waiting to be sorted into houses. Stiles and Scott entertain their selves until the new students are being sorted.

“Derek Hale!” Stiles hears and he sees one of the new students slowly walks up towards the stool. He was incredibly handsome despite the scowl on his face, and the Sorting Hat barely touches his head before it screams out a “Gryffindor!”

Stiles cheers loudly with the rest of his house, and Derek walks slowly over to their table before sitting at the end of it without really talking to anybody. Stiles is about to say something, but the food appears on the table and he forgets.

“First year Gryffindor! Follow me!” Lydia calls, and Stiles strides after her with Scott hot on his heels.

“I can show some of them where to go.” Stiles says, slyly and one of the new students visibly shallows. Lydia tuts at him, and raises her wand threateningly.

“Away with you, Stilinski! I will hex you half away across this school!” Lydia says, and with her high marks in charms Stiles wouldn’t doubt it so he heads off with a wave over his shoulder.

Stiles walks with Scott as they playfully push each other while trying to scare some of the first year Hufflepuffs until Danny yells at them with a smile to go bother their own house, and that’s when Stiles spots Derek Hale looking lost while trying to find his way towards the dorms. Stiles nudges Scott who looks over and raises his eyebrows, and when Isaac Lahey walks towards the Ravenclaw house Scott walks after him like a love-struck fool.  “Go get him, Scotty!” Stiles calls, and Scott glares at him but when Isaac grins at him he melts.
