the sun began to enclose under the clouds as the moon started to appear, the sky darkening. the winter sky already becoming nearly black at 6 p.m.
the darkness loomed over two figures who were walking, the never-ending fear creeping onto both as they walked into a pit of darkness.
"why did she send her two daughters out at night just for some laundry detergent," dayoung grumbled out as she and her younger sister, hyeri, walked to the nearest store.
actually- scratch that. dayoung was scared of all of the screaming hyeri was making instead as the said girl swallowed her excitement, 7 boys displayed on her bright, blinding screen.
"shhh, be quiet it's renjun's turn," hyeri cried out as she held her hand up to dayoung's face, a signal to stop.
dayoung rolled her eyes, groaning out as a cloud of her breath came out of her mouth. she put her white hood of her jacket over her white cap as she also put her white mask along her face, snuggling into the warmth of her clothes. "it's too cold for this."
jeon dayoung was your typical young adult. she started university not too long ago and already liked it.
her life was peaceful and quiet, just how she wanted. she was always cooped up in her room, away from the world. she stayed in her room all the time, repeatedly dancing her heart out. she loved dancing and it was her escape from reality.
she kept her circle small for numerous of years, only keeping her all time friend from elementary, seo minjoon. she liked it like that anyways, she didn't like crowded places.
all she hoped for was good grades and to live in lavish and happiness. who doesn't?
"can you put the volume down? i've been hearing that all day, give me a break," dayoung said irritably, shivering in the process while reminiscing the painful events earlier that day.
loud, sickeningly childish music blasting through the roofs of her home the whole day.
"nope," hyeri popped out nonchalantly while smirking. "no can do, sissy."
dayoung tiredly sighed. typical siblings. she kicked a few pebbles to the side, putting her hands in her coat as she looked at the ground. "they aren't even that special, why does she like them so much?" she mumbled out quietly, the air eerie.
"sissy i heard that," hyeri huffed out. "don't say shit about my boys."
dayoung scoffed. "mhmm, yeah your boys. i guess you can say that" she said while scrunching up her face. "and with that music? i feel like my ears are going to bleed."
hyeri looked up from her phone, raising her brows, visibly not liking what dayoung said.
"all i hear you say is how much you love chenle or whatever. and that guy too who hops from girl -."
hyeri rolled her eyes as she angrily huffed out, cutting off dayoung. she pressed the volume up more as she put her phone against dayoung's face to purposely agitate her more.
dayoung backed away from the phone, hyeri's technique clearly working. hyeri smirked in triumph, pleased to know it worked.
in reply, dayoung shook her head as she open the door to the well illuminated store, making the bell attach to the door ring.
"i'm going to get some snacks," hyeri mumbled out, finally turning off the music.
dayoung nodded as she aimlessly walked around trying to find the laundry section. turning the corner, she spotted it all in neatly in one spot.
she scanned all of the options of detergent, looking for the cheapest one—of course. however, the cheapest one was placed a head above of her 5'3 height.
she groaned out. "why do i have to be short?" she questioned out loud.
she huffed before inhaling a breath of air, standing on her tippy toes as she tried to reach for the detergent. her long brown hair bounced slightly as she stuck her tongue out, concentration seeping through her.
the detergent ultimately fell down into the palm of her hands as she let out a small noise in victory. she went back down onto her heels, trying to stabilize herself with her hands out. she slightly threw the bottle in the air as a sign of victory.
"yay," she said to herself.
however, her victory was short lived as a body rammed into her petite one. "shit," she cursed out painfully as her body dived onto the floor along with the detergent that was once in her hand.
dayoung slowly looked up, gasping in the process. the detergent was cracked open and all of the sticky substance spread everywhere on the floor, painting the once cream white floor a stringent blue color.
"lee haechan!" a voice hauntingly said. "we know you're here, we just want to talk."
